Here’s a more up to date piece. It is quite apparent the negotiations for compensation are not what the EU trade rep thinks is appropriate, rather he believes the US should change their policy towards online gambling. This coupled with the letter that 8 US reps sent to the US trade rep yesterday are sure signs that tides of the industry are churning.
Mandelson was quoted while speaking to members of the European Parliament as saying, “The US has opted for compensation to make right what is wrong, I do not think compensation does the job.”
I hope this is a good sign!!
