InactiveAccording to gambling911 they do. The UFC and MMA in general is growing so fast I would think that it is at least as popular as boxing with sports bettors.

InactiveYeah I heard it is becoming really popular which is why I was thinking of maybe doing a bit with it on one of my sites.

I do not think anyone wants to play BetUS with all their problems in the past (and now). Even the fishy Kahnawake Gaming Commission dropped their accreditation a couple months ago!
Bonustreak, if you are looking for a serious operator for UFC betting, you definetely will not go wrong with Pinny.October 21, 2007 at 8:22 pm #751887Anonymous
InactiveYeah BetUS gets a D+ at SBR and is among the higher rated books in that family. Look elsewhere.

InactiveA lot of sportsbooks now take lines on UFC. Some of the bigger ones do it for other MMA events too. And so many upsets can be nice for business, when tons of people lump on GSP at -1200

Sistersherri, it is wise to do some research before recommending places to others. :shots:

InactiveTribun, I wasn’t recommending, if I was, I would have said “I recommend”. The question was “Do sportsbooks take bets on this”.. I posted what I found, that’s it.
I apoligize.

vladcizsolMemberYes the UFC is ULTRA Popular and yes you can bet on the matches. I watched the “Hostile Territory” PPV event on Saturday and generally buy all the big PPVs.
I havent bet on them yet, but I have sure been tempted.

InactiveAs much as I wanted Franklin to win over Silva I just new it wasn’t going to happen. Should have bet on it. Then again it is MMA and anything could happen i.e. Serra beats up GSP, Gonzaga’s kick to Cro-Cop’s skull. Didn’t see those coming. Oops, now I’m way off topic sorry.

vladcizsolMemberMatt Serra is a scrappy little guy, but the fight with George St Piere was a fluke. GSP would/should kill him. It was a lucky punch that got through and when you get tagged like that anyone can lose a fight. I dont think Serra is top tier and I think GSP, Hughes or BJ Penn would crush him like a beer can in 99 out of 100 fights.
Gozanga is good and he has heart. With Randy Couture retiring he just may come back and take the title as I dont think Silvia can beat him. God help them all if Fedor ever does come to UFC. I am also VERY intrigued by Brock Lesnar. World Class wrestler, freakish strength, speed and agility. NCAA Champ and size to cause anyone trouble. The ONLY question mark there is can he hang with a tough striker?
No one in the 185 pound weight class stands a prayer against Silva, no one is even close. Hughes said if he beats Serra (which he would) he may step up and try Silva and though I love Hughes I dont think he can handle Silva either. Only hope is over time Silva has to move up to heavies to find money competition and there are guys there with at least a chance of beating him.

You must mean Silva not Silvia right? Because I see alot of flaws in Big Tim’s game. Of couse I’m just an arm chair MMA fan. These bones are too old for that game

I agree with most of what you said Prof. especially about Fedor. It was kinda strange to read the Dana White interview about how Couture would mop the floor with Fedor. I’d love to see that fight!

goldaMemberWith Fedor signing to M1 (Mark Cuban) and all the Randy Couture drama recently I would expect to see some good fights again outside the UFC. I doubt Dana will be buying this one soon

Go team Hughes!
