Maybe you should start one, looks like a gap in the market.

I had started one at travelaffiliateprograms.net but took it down due to lack of use.

I have posted the same question in the General section. No replies yet. I own a travel affiliate site and would like to read more on the topic and get advice from more experienced affiliates. Have not found a good forum yet.

I don’t think most successful travel affiliates are posting in a travel affiliate forum.

As a group, they weren’t as community-oriented as CAP. It’s possible that maybe there aren’t as many successful travel affiliates? I’m not sure…

I personally partner with IAN.com. From my own and my friends’ experience I can say that they are honest and accurate with payments to affiliates. They provide you with a lot of travel products to sell and their prices are quite comparable with those of such online giants like Expedia and Orbitz. So far I like the program.

I don’t know much about wctravel.com which is a Travelocity’s affiliate program. But I did not like this line on their sign up page: “In order to be approved for our travel affiliate program, we ask that your site meet the following criteria:….You are confident your minimum sales will be no lower than 20 hotel or airline bookings per month…” When? On the first month of your site’s existence? How can one be confident in getting a sale/business day in the first year of affiliation? It is really tougher to get sales in the travel affiliation business than in gambling, and even gambling affiliates start to earn decent money months after signing up. Besides, wctravel.com does not allow placement of their competitors’ booking engines on the same site. So I have to stay with IAN.com alone, otherwise I would have given wctravel.com a chance too.

IAN.com is owned and operated by Expedia. If you’re interested in being an affiliate there, I know John Nelson in the affiliate department well, and he’s a top notch affiliate guy. (I’ve never worked with anyone better, in fact.) His email address is jnelson AT hotels.com. (Hotels.com is also a subsidiary of Expedia.)
