InactiveIt’s another ‘it all depends’ question

If your traffic is looking for free poker you’ll need a lot.
Looking for poker rules, you’ll still need a lot.
Looking for startegies will be better
Looking for real money or poker room reviews will be better still
Traffic looking for a specific poker room will probably be best.So my anser is, ‘all of the above’

InactiveI was once told that if you could generate 45-50 targeted major search engine hits a day without the word free or bonus, you could make a decent living in this game.
That was a tough goal to achieve. But so far, that statement holds true.

InactiveNot sure who told you that but it sounds like a reasonable rule. Would equate to 1500 visits/month.
Of course, if you’ve got a great sticky site then many of those visitors will bookmark and return, within a year you’ll be doing very well.

InactiveI think its largely dependent on what you offer/how you present it. For what its worth i get 1,000 uniques and generate anything between $4k – $6k pcm

Envy:: anything with the word “Free” in it is going to vastly reduce your conversions. I have a “Free Slot Games” site where people can play MG slots – it gets about 200 uniques a month and as far as i can track, those that do bother to go to the casinos end up as guests only.

Inactivesame goes for “free poker”
I have a free poker games section on one of my sites – From that section I get 100 demo accounts a month and maybe if lucky 1-2 purchasing but the returns are so low
Same again with slots

InactiveI was generating about 2800 uniques at one point getting about 1900 now and making a considerable ammount each month , more than 20k and less than 40k sorry i dont like people knowing exacly how much. May sound good but once i take tax and everything into account, pretty much halves it.

(Im assuming “visits” is uniques?)Nope visits isn’t uniques if you use webalizer your going to get inflated stats, when i said i was getting 1900 vistits a month thats unique search engine hits i’m not including any thing else such has bookmarks or direct type ins, if i look at my webalizer stats it says 226194 Hits for the month of June 10945 Visits if i look at awstats it says 5470 Unique Visits and 11323 visits.
