I moved this thread – all posts discussing payment methods belong into the private industry section, where only member affiliates and managers have access.

    Hey mate

    Microgaming groups use Envoy…

As far as I know, there is no option to put notes on wire transfers through that processor. At least this is what I have always been told.. there used to be a group that needed a note put on the wires in order for the transfer to go to the right account but I was told each month that this was not possible..

Anyone from another group want to confirm or correct me?

The alternative is to change to an e-wallet – that way you will always know who the transfer is from and it’s less that can go wrong on the processing side.. Just an idea..

Please put some kind of reference as to which payment this is for, including from which
“known” name they come from and for which AFF account / date etc.

    I SECOND THAT!

Trying to work outr VAT/Tax Return is a complete nightmare without this info! :madat:

e-wallet solves one problem by creating more other problems.

i think it is best to be able to source out the sender easily

Yes.. this one got my vote…

I did get a few wires from G3partner.. Usually it has my aff id in the ref. but I think it was missing once or twice..

So I would guess it is possible to put something to reconise in the ref. Ofcourse I don’t know if this is the same for all..

OK thanks, will get in touch with the aff manager over there and see if they can offer me any advice.

    Cheers

ewallets are not always a good solution.. depending on where you live unfortunately.. Sometimes you need the cash in your bank account ;)

Exactly, some affiliates for example are organised as small businesses. Most e-wallets only allow personal accounts. This is just one reason that come to mind.

Surely an accountant knows how to do a small businesses accounting through any type of banking medium?

peralis – you make a good point there.. some countries just don’t have the ability for an ewallet..

The only reason I suggest ewallets is because every month there seems to be issues with at least one wire transfer.. either the affiliate not supplying enough info, or sometimes the info is in the wrong place – ie end bank details in routing bank detail area or vice versa.. change of processor requiring more info.. In fact on this point, more often than not I have had to call the affiliate’s bank myself because the affiliate refused to give me the extra information requested from the processor because the affiliate said its not needed even after I told them that without the info we can’t send the wire..

For one affiliate I have in mind, we had to try about 20 different ways to send the wire before we found how it would go through.. 20 * $30 wire fee = $600… not cheap..

With e-wallets there’s less room for error since they use a single account number or email address…

Bottom line is that I want you to have your money in the quickest time possible. and wires prevent me from being able to do that for about 50% of the time. Also, if there are no payment issues to look after, I have more time to spend doing something to help make our program better for you guys.

happen only when it is the FIRST payment to that affiliate ??

everything should be smooth after the first time.

You’d like to think so but this isn’t always the case..

Since the processors change so frequently, often every month, sometimes the one we get one month might need more info than the last one.. generally this is the only reason the wire wont go through if it has gone through previously, unless the account has been closed and the affiliate has forgotten to give us new details or something like that.. or usually what happens in the above case is that the affiliate wont give more info because the transfer went through previously and their thought is that the bank doesn’t need the extra info.. which then forces emails back and forth trying to explain..

Sometimes, MASSIVE pain in the ass is all I can say..

For the most part everything runs smoothly as long as we can all cooperate together..

hello all, quite a lot of comments :)

anyway, we for example cannot work with many e wallets and as we have quite a lot incoming and outgoing payments have to get as much as possible by wire. I would really suggest approaching Envoy and at LEAST adding some kind of reference in the form of a “code” for example “WG” for wagershare and “RA” for roxy affiliates etc.

    Thanks anyway!

I know in canada the phone company told me “it’s ok use a personal account for your home based business” (it’s cheaper) then the government refused to refund my VAT because the billing wasn’t in the business’ name. So, where the money goes and where it comes from varies in importance depending on how you’re legally organized and what your local tax authorities require.

It’s hard to believe a memo field couldn’t be arranged. an alternative (a silly one) is to have each affiliate program add a specific number of cents to the end of each payment, have all Rewards payments end .01, fortune .02, etc. We’d set up a list then we’d know! it’s a bit of a pain, a bit silly but it could work
