It’s funny you say that actually because most Aussies you will meet actually don’t have an Aussie background. I have a Hungarian/Yugoslav background, ie my parents were born in Europe…
My partners parents were both born in Greece… etc…Dom – we call them prawns… and we are usually throwing snags on the barbie (snags are sausages).
My beau cooks an amazing bbq. its really an art. anywhere we go they are always asking him to cook because most people burn the meat or cook it too much on one side.
Since he is Greek we always cook a lot of Greek food (well I cook a lot of Greek food – he just cooks the souvlakia on the bbq)I’m so hungry.
Apparently the next CAP event is at Renee’s, the eveing doo is a BBQ I hear!
And souvlakia is awesome!
