Hi guys,
we have been copied again by an affiliate.
http://www.gamblingonline.itsmyland.com/casino_reviews/vegas_slot_casino_review.html
http://www.reviewed-casinos.com/online_casino_reviews/vegas_slot_casino.htmland the list goes on.. this affiliate has copied every review word for word ..
Could you get him/her to take it down immediately please?
July 19, 2006 at 2:09 am #699215AnonymousInactiveThis fellow has clearly lifted content from peralis’s site. Swift action would be nice! greek39^*

July 25, 2006 at 8:59 am #699795AnonymousInactiveHi,
have you got any news? Seriously, any at all…
A response here would have been nice.
We have been loyal affiliates for a long time now and really expected swifter action.
July 25, 2006 at 9:28 am #699797AnonymousInactiveI have emailed the affiliate and apparently a Webmaster is responsible for the content for the client. I have also sent samples of the copied pages to the affiliate. So we will just have to wait for a reply.
Regards
HenryJuly 25, 2006 at 9:39 am #699798AnonymousInactiveNow where have I heard that excuse before? My webmaster bla bla bla… :sarcasm:
Seriously, I could care less who is responsible for what.. the sites should simply get taken down. No real difficulty in that. It is a matter of a few clicks.
Honestly, I do not understand why there has to be a discussion at all.. The content must be removed or the affiliate account closed.. and it does not need 2 weeks time to do. A day should be enough.
July 25, 2006 at 3:23 pm #699831AnonymousInactiveI am affraid two weeks is a long enough. I am sick of this aff programs drawing double incomes because of content theft. Close the content thiefs account down. This is BS! greek39^*/
July 25, 2006 at 5:31 pm #699861AnonymousInactiveI’m helping to resolve this situation so I expect people to be friendly here.
I think they have now made the page that you are referring to inaccessible. Have a look, I get a page that says I need to login to view it…

HenryJuly 25, 2006 at 5:49 pm #699865AnonymousInactiveHenry the content is gone for now. Please could you keep tabs on this site? the content may reappear. I beleive this fellow is in the process of puttin up new content. greek39^*
July 25, 2006 at 5:57 pm #699867AnonymousInactiveYeah absolutely.. Trying to learn more about this website and the extent of the network. Then I have no problems closing the affiliate account.
Cheers
HenryJuly 25, 2006 at 6:02 pm #699872AnonymousInactiveHenry,
I was not being unfriendly. I was being sarcastic at the excuse that he gave you. It is an excuse we have heard through the years and is always easy to blame a webmaster..
As for my second statement – I stand by that. I do not see why something like this has to take that long. Especially when it is a freebie site and has blatantly stolen the content. This cannot be in any of our interests.
Please don’t get me wrong – I really do appreciate all your help, but I get frustrated when things are drawn out. 2 weeks is a long time and the Search engines do not care what the problem was.. At the end of the day, we are the ones that will get hurt by this. It has happened before and I had to rewrite our entire site simply to get relisted in the engines.
I see that the page I complained about has been removed. However, the rest have not:

http://www.gamblingonline.itsmyland.com/casino_reviews/vegas_country_casino_review.html
http://www.gamblingonline.itsmyland.com/casino_reviews/vegas_7_casino_review.html
http://www.gamblingonline.itsmyland.com/casino_reviews/colosseum_casino_review.html
http://www.gamblingonline.itsmyland.com/casino_reviews/grand_hotel_casino_review.html
see the list here:
http://www.gamblingonline.itsmyland.com/casino_reviews/He has also lifted other parts of my site, like the bonus explanations, poker stuff .. the list goes on. I hope you can appreciate my frustration at this point.
Thanks for your help so far!
July 25, 2006 at 6:04 pm #699873AnonymousInactiveThanks Henry taking on issues such as these, put you in the good books! greek39
July 25, 2006 at 6:15 pm #699875AnonymousInactiveHi Peralis, yeah I know it’s frustrating and I’d be the same. I can close the account, which isn’t making any money or any clicks either, but it won’t stop him from copying and that is the main problem.
I think the site might be hosted on http://www.addyour.net so perhaps dropping them an email might help as well. The domain itsmyland.com redirects there anyways.
Also try to check your stats if you can drill down to see visits from scrapers and block those ip addresses.

July 25, 2006 at 11:15 pm #699913AnonymousInactiveHenry, thanks a lot for all your help.
the affiliate has contacted me and has removed almost all the stolen content now. One more page and it is done.
Thanks to the pressure of affiliate managers like you, we have been able to get things done.
Cheers
