I have 2 dogs and my wife was the Marketing Director at our local humane society… This kind of shit is WAY too common. In our small city (slightly over 100,000), we pick up destroyed pit bull terriers quite often. We also pick up small dogs used as bait quite often.
They are typically on the brink of death
I think this is vicious and sick. Please, no one make light of this. I have 2 dogs as well that I love and I just can’t imagine what a bait-dog OR a bred-to-fight dog must go through.Their lives are hell.
My wife and I are also dog owners and she is just as much a part of our family as our son. Our little girl is a boxer – we get lots of people who cross the street because they think that she is a pit bull.
Guys like Mike Vick have totally destroyed the image of what is really a very friendly breed. My ex-neighbor had a pit bull that my dog played with all the time. They were buds.
They just made some arrests for dog fighting in our area in the past week. Hopefully this will help people notice what might be going on around them.
