Id assume – and I shouldnt do that but I will, that someone has abused the edit feature in the past and that is why its set at 5 minutes ??

Personally Id like to think we are all professional and that NO time limit for editing be set. We should/could follow SOPs for editing E.G. include an edit tag stating what and why we changed something ….

Guys I will change it back to no time limit for edits. It WAS like that originally and thats the way I would like to have it, but it was abused by some one who was spamming then after getting challenged they deleted the threads and acted like they hadnt posted anything. If it gets to be a problem again I will have to turn the five minute rule back on.

I allow people to edit their posts, but what I dont want is people to post one thing then when people respond and the thread develops the original poster goes back and changes their post and everyone else looks crazy.

Hey, I found I could change it to a “One Day Rule” that seems like a very good compromise so thats what it’s set at now rather then 5 minutes. That should allow adequate time for edits.
