Well, that sounds pretty terrible.
We are supposed to be a community here and stick together.
That is scary and also the reason why a select few do our testing or my Mom
Though I don’t think this is a public issue and I don’t want this to turn into a specatacle, I also wanted to address the situation so as to not allow my reputation to be tainted. I did send the money back Arkyt early this morning after waking up and realizing that yesterday I fell asleep without completing what I told him I would do. This is all simply an error on delaying paying him back on my part and is simply just that.
There was never anything ever “Fishy” up and I never had any ill intentions. I have done several testing projects for others with no trouble and I also have done side work with nothing but satisfaction and no complaints. So please don’t let this one event have any effect any bigger picture on testing, fellow webmasters ..myself included as it is just a minor foul up that has been resolved.
Arkyt..in the future perhaps if you didn’t come down on the people volunteering to assist you and being so intimidating you would be able to take a second to understand the circumstances that you clearly neglected to list that caused this situation with you and me and you and the others. You angrily threatened with public lynching and others with the bigger picture. When you emailed me shortly after I agreed to help accusing me of possibly “sabotaging” your testing as though me and the others were out to get you, I was very shocked and soemwhat bothered I ever agreed to help you. Sure i’m sorry for lagging but still there’s no need to get angry, I think 90% of us are good people.

Matt, I would have much rather seen you explain what happened here than attacking Arkyt.
I took part in this testing also and am certainly not intimidated in any way.
I too had a rocky start – troubles downloading and it taking 2 whole days to get the bonus delayed me too. No one intimidated me – Arkyt made a note of the problems. It looks bad for the casino, not for me.
I understand falling asleep before doing something one planned – can happen after a long day staring at a screen.
But Arkyt talks about many, many times of not being replied to. I think it would have been good to address that instead of attacking Arkyt.
We don’t do attacks here – we talk things out. I hope you’ll come back and just explain things. Having individual people contact you for information about this is not very constructive.
My apologies if it appeared I was attacking anyone that was not my intent. I was simply making a suggestion for future interactions to avoid any problems.
As for addressing the situation, I think I explained what I needed too and that included and apology for the delay in getting his money back. What more can I do then just that? I merely am avoiding an ongoing situation by asking anyone that had any questions to email me and I don’t think that’s a bad thing…that’s my preference.
I think that this really doesnt need to be discussed anymore since it’s been resolved anyhow.
I also had trouble contacting Matt for a small period of time so I imagine he really was asleep and I imagine he did respond as soon as he was aware.
He’s tested several casinos for me without any problems and actually has spent much more than I sent him.
I don’t think Arkyt got upset about a few hours somewhere – more like a few weeks.
But – all’s well that ends well. Perhaps there are some lessons learned.

When will you be posting the testing results?
I have never had any problems with Matt myself.
He is always there to help his friends – and I know he has made some logos, banners and even site templates for a few CAP members for FAR below market value.
I’m very disappointed how fast some people here have moved in to judge based on one side of a dispute. Shame!
Arkyt felt he had to vent and did. Matt responded.
I don’t think anyone else has seen what actually happened between them, so no one but them is the judge of things.
I think they should be able to sort things out here without interference.
I think we should all butt out and let Arkyt and Matt talk this out.

Arkyt made this a matter of discussion here on the boards when he posted about it PUBLICLY. As far as I’m concerned, everyone here has been invited to chime in with their opinions. If this weren’t a topic for discussion, it shouldn’t have been posted.
I might add that Fergie was NOT the first person in this forum to post a comment about the situation–there were several people posting here both before and after Matt responded to Arkyt’s post.
As far as Matt and Arkyt go, I don’t have a problem with either of them–they’ve both done right by me.
I also think it would be a lot more constructive at this point to discuss the actual test results and possibly even shut this thread down.
