InactiveMykonos – aren’t you the lucky one!
Mykonos is a piece of paradise. A few days there and your whole being changes and adjusts to the easygoing, relaxed attitude the island exudes.
Have a wonderful time and soak it all up!

InactiveHey all
Thanks for the comments!
I had a fantastic time, although it wasn’t long enough, especially returning from 45 degree (celcius) heat to 15 degree cold rain in Sydney. The fires were extremely close – just over the other side of the mountain from where i was staying in Varimbopi. In fact it was snowing ash 2 days after my birthday.
I didn’t manage to get to Mykonos but I did manage to see some of Crete and what a fantastic place it was. One beach I visited at Fallasarna was absolutely gorgeous (apart from 2 dirty old men who tried showing up my music with their crappy phones – their music sounded like it was from Tetris).
I didnt like Paris. I wont ever go there again. I wont tell my stories here because I dont want to offend anyone. Ill just say that I speak French and it didn’t make any difference. I also nearly had a fight in the line of the Eifel Tower. The best part of Paris was the Moulin Rouge. The dancing didn’t really impress me but the acts in between were amazing. Plus most of the dancing girls are Aussies and know some people I know so it was nice to chat to some Aussies on my trip.
I also visited Egina – one of the Greek islands. It only has a church and beaches, but I visited the church (as the saint of the church has personal meaning for my partner) and went to the beach. The water was the warmest there. Felt like a warm bath.
Anyway the holiday was much needed and I am feeling very relaxed (so far) on my return. I think it will be a week before I need another holiday LOL
If anyone wants to see pics let me know and ill organise to put the viewable (not so personal) ones up somewhere
