InactiveI think if a site has been previously indexed you don’t need to resubmit. I think your best bet is to create a new sitemap and do 301 redirects from all your old pages (at least whatever is in their indexes) so that you don’t end up in Google’s supplemental hell. Also, Google is taking ages to crawl / recrawl properly. Just my 2 cents…

InactiveYou don’t need to do anything. If you are being indexed by Google, they will find the changes rather quickly, you could actually slow the process by resubmitting to them. Most webmasters advise never to submit your site to a search engine, just get links and you will get spidered.

InactiveI redid my first website back in January after it was built on a do-it-yourself template since Aug 2005. I kept almost all of the original content and basically just changed the names of the pages, etc. Even with 301 redirects from the old pages my website was re-sandboxed by google and is now just getting out of it. You should look into how to avoid something like this so google doesnt treat your re-done website as a brand new website..

InactiveI did a similar thing about 6 months ago and asked the same question. I only really did two things (after polling a lot of advice):
1) Put 301 redirect on all key pages
2) Used Google site maps to help them figure out the changes I’d madeWas up and down for about 6 weeks while things settled down but now everything is back to normal.
Hope this helps.
