InactiveI think a moderator moved it to Vegas Partners subforum.
I found it by using the Search menu above

InactiveI didn’t move it, but agree with whover did that it should be moved to where the program can see it, so they can respond and fix the problem.

vladcizsolMemberI moved it there so they would see it and respond.

LucretiaMemberYes I started this one (http://www.casinoaffiliateprograms.com/bb/river-nile-links-do-not-work.27946.html?&highlight=river+nile)
I really did not want to post all those threads lately but since the start of Starpartner my earnings are declining fast and IMO they get free traffic if the links are not working 100%.
Problably with other problems I have to leave this industry sooner as I thought.

you know what, i am beginning to lean towards this option.

LucretiaMemberIt is obvious that the merger from vegaspartner / goldenstarnetwork to the new starpartner has caused severe problems regarding tracking of players, hits, downloads etc. The technical problems seem not to end soon, and once they had resolved them in the past it quickly lead to new ones.
The other question I have is : do they bundle the negatives because VP and GSN is now one program ?
I would like to know why “Vegaspartner” does not follow up our questions here at the forum nor responds to emails sent. I must be stupid but how can they get away with this without consequences.
I am wasting my time here complaining, things will not change anyway I guess.

InactiveI don’t think there is a program around that has started a new affiliate site that didn’t go thru major headaches, VP/GSN included. I’m sure they will get it ironed out, it apparently takes time. I have gotten response to me email concerns with no problem, and credit them for that! I wouldn’t want to be in their shoes and going thru this mess….

InactiveDo yourselves a very big favour and promote someone you can trust.
There are more than enough good Microgaming operators to choose from.
Don’t say you have not been warned.
You will see big players disappear, tracking not working, etc, etc,

maybe, maybe not (brightshare managed to upgrade their stats without hickups, actionpoker also managed to do this w/o tracking issues, wagerjunction managed fine when they moved to playtechs, i’m sure there are more). i don’t think you can justify “major headaches” by costing me hundreds if not thousands of dollars. and i’m not willing to be the guinea pig they signed me up to be. it’s not like its the first time this kind of stuff is happening (in terms of programs upgrading their affiliate backend). forgive me, but they are not inventing the bicycle here, instead doing what has been done before on more than one occassion.
the fact that many programs experience problems when they implement new stats is apparent, however this should NOT be an industry standard. on the contrary, such ‘fuckups’ should be the exception to the norm, which is not what it is right now.
anyways, i have emailed kirsten a few days ago with my questions and still waiting for her reply. will base any further decisions on her comments.

InactiveYeah, Brightshare had only 1 hiccup…. There was a link they forgot to change which went to your NEW stats page. However, all other links to it were fine.
Pretty minor compared to all this, huh? hmm…. maybe they did something called…. ‘testing’.
It’s very poor to let your affiliates lose out because you don’t properly test the affiliate program. More programs need to learn from Brightshare and get it right the first time.

vladcizsolMemberGuys Star Partner is going through teething pains as does anyone who moves a large scale Microgaming program unto a new reporting suite. Grand Prive is a prime example. I am sure in a short time everything will be sorted out. Tyrone’s group has always been awesome to work with. Conrad provides top notch support and so does Antoinette (she’s on Maternity leave so that may explain why support issues take a bit longer).
I am going to get in touch with Conrad next week and chat with him and see when we can expect all these transitory issues to clear up. I too have seen a significant drop in earnings at Vegsas Partner and Golden Star and I want to find out why as well as you guys. I suspect we may have to change out existing links on our sites to help speed this process along, but let me find out if that is true or not.
Lets not always be so quick to want to draw and quarter every program for any reason. These guys have been our partners for years and are huge supporters of the community. I know many of you have earned good money with at least one of their programs in the past, I know I did with both, and I am sure we will get back to that level shortly so dont be so quick to throw them under a bus.

InactiveI have to go with Lou here. I’ve worked with them for a long time and think they’re good people
I’m a bit surprised/unhappy that they joined the programs and launched new system with less data reporting and more problems than the old system. There should have been more testing.
But, having my own business where programming projects are late and don’t meet specs when they come thru, i sympathize with them.

I stay with Merlin here and these are the big disadvantages of the new Starpartner :
1. joined the programs, bundling negatives ?
2. less data reporting and more problems than the old systemI do not want to be a testpilot either. Besides that I think it was a strange move of them to :
a. phase out good casinos
b. start a new affiliate program while the other 2 were much better.at the same time.
Sorry but I do not buy this stuff anymore, maybe there were a fine program(s) in the past but now it is a 101 mess. They should have kept the affiliate programs unchanged while phasing out casinos. Handling two major changes is asking for troubles and unhappy campers along the transition.
Besides that how long does it take to sort things out : a few weeks or months?

GuestI’m with Insp and Splinter.
that said however … I never did any good with this bunch except for when I first signed up with them and I did real good. Then after I increased their exposure they continually earned less and less the more exposure i gave them.
I finally pulled all their links. That was VP. Golden Star never was any good, even from the start (for me).
From what I have read and been following it seems like this issue has drawn out for some time. Convenient for those who are still earning but not so … for those who are not getting credit.
Its amazing how much faster people are at fixing a problem when it hurts THEIR bottom line and not someone elses.
