I received the following email from Hype Gaming Management. I am assuming it is coming from the software provider:

    Quote:
    Dear Professor

This email is designed to advise you of the situation with your affiliate payment.

Normally a Licencee would not intervene however as stated in our first email, we view affiliates as important to a business such as Online Gaming.

The previous owners have not responded to our requests for payment of affiliates, the affiliate payments were made solely by the Casino Owner and Marketing Team.

Rather than let the affiliates sought out the situation with the Previous Management on their own we are going to investigate a method that we can provide some assistance in this area.

Negative Postings and bad press although may be justified on the previous owners , it not in the interest of anyone and we will only support affiliates that support us in this matter.

So please whilst we find an amicable solution we ask that no postings, blogs or general comments are made, if a posting is made by an affiliate we will not be inclined to assist them in resolving this situation, as we did not create this unfortunate situation .

We will require a further 7 days to resolve this issue as we are not going to see a response from the Owners and any solution can only come from the software supplier.

    Thank you for your understanding.

One has to be able to discuss things in the community.

This is a very ill conceived letter, and I hope it is due to the licencee being completely unfamiliar with the affiliate business.

Amazing. Since I did not utilize Hype and no payment is due, I am not concerned with this threat. Dom is probably right that they are new to this.

This is not a negitive post just one to maybe enlighten. Affils share info at CAP. If a payment is late I will say .. I wonder if anyone else got paid ..and head straight over to CAP. If there is a problem with a program I will also look here. If I find a problem I will share with other webmasters. We must communicate or we would all be in the dark.

Often times when an issue is discussed the purpose is to resolve it. In this case if you didn’t receive your paycheck you would ask the boss, and if that didn’t work you would discuss it with your co-workers? You would be right to bitch. The electric company doesnt want to hear Hype is going through changes so I can’t pay you. Affiliates are real people with real bills to pay and families. They are not just posts.

It appears that those who speak up and try to find some relief will be penalized. I’m sure all understand that you are trying to straighten things out but with that comes the history. As new management it comes with the package IMO. If not a squeaky wheel, then sit on your hands and pray? Bad bad bad.

    Good luck everyone.

    I’m glad I got the email, I hadn’t noticed they weren’t paying.

So what exactly is going on here? I haven’t been following the situation, what’s all this licencee, ownership, software provider stuff, summed up in a sentence?

WOW!!!! I would assume this is directed at the affiliates that are owed the most money, they don’t wish to pay out the large amounts again this is just an assumption on my part and is in no way ..umm bad mouthing this wonderful software provider…..

They obviously don’t know that we are a community that stands up for one another and will band together if need be to inform others of a problem this is what communities are for and they must not be educated about how this industry works as Dom mentioned or they never would have sent this email that can be considered blackmail!

Keep your mouth shut or no pay what a bunch of crap!

Oh and David Olsen please since you read these forums can you email me on the progress of my well over due payments? You have my email addy on file or send it to this new addy marketing@bonustreak.com

    Hmmm…

Dispute between casino operator and licencee over money, operator locked out, licencee running casino.

    No one getting paid.

Keep tuned for further episodes of “The Fight and the Fallout”.

I am all for playing nice until I get paid :)Just wanted to add there should be some time limit on this play nice rule.Dont want to be sitting here like a fool 3 months down the road and our players still throw good money after bad.

    FFS …

You can’t seriously be suggesting that people continue to send players there?
That would simply be irresponsible – and does a dis-service to us all.

This organisation was obviously undercapitilised – and under-resourced – and if they can’t pay then you should be telling players NOT TO PLAY THERE.
    :shooter:

And that’s before we think about the financial threats implied in this email.

    Paul ,
I am willing to give any program time to sort out management /financial issues.I cannot do anything about the players I have sent in the past but i agree it is negligent to keep banners up for that group .

If they take my removal of banners as not supporting them and a reason to not pay me that will be unfortunate. When i am happy with a program I let everyone know , when i am not happy I try to resolve it professionally.

We are not children and they do not have to threaten us or blackmail us with the money we earned rightfully. But i also took the letter to mean they realise together as a group we can do a lot of damage. This is why I suggested a time line to play nice. My issue is with the brand hypepartners and I dont plan to take it out on the software company or shoot the messenger either.

    i mean…. it sounds like…they are doing their best….

Well, it is plain to see that we are here discussing it despite the email, or likely because of the email.

I did complain about it and received reassurance that their priority now is to get everyone paid. There will be no future gag orders. Obviously that sort of thing doesn’t work.

These folks are software providers, they are new to affiliate matters. I admit, some of our threads can look pretty scary, but overall it always comes out balanced when you read the whole thread.

We come in all shapes and sizes, nationalities, ages and dispositions. What we do have in common is intelligence, ingenuity and the entrepreneurial spirit. That’s why I love the affiliate community. It’s unlike any other I have ever encountered.

Affiliates have to and do stick together to create a livable working situation, but we are not without understanding and patience.

We have now been promised to be paid. It seems prudent to sit back a bit and let them work on it. These guys are not casino operators and I must assume it will take a bit for them to learn the ropes.

At least now someone is claiming the responsibility to pay us. That’s a step in the right direction.

They decided not to take ANYONE on board with any experience in this industry ?
Or if they did – they subsequently decided to ignore them?

Hardly a wise decision to send out the email.

Gooner, the software provider decided to reclaim the casino, for whatever reasons.

I would assume they will restaff.
