IMPORTANT NOTE: The block of special room rates for the Excalibur have been sold out and are no longer available. In future, please reserve your room early for this event.
The Excalibur Resort & Casino has a standard single/double room rate of USD $109/night for those who wish to stay at the hotel Sunday night October 3 through Thursday night October 7. Their Saturday night stay rate of USD $199 Saturday night of October 2nd. Or check http://www.BookVegas.com for other hotels in the area.
September 15, 2004 at 10:35 pm #655094AnonymousInactiveFor those who missed the special rate – the Luxor and Mandalay Bay are connected to the Exalibur with a trolly, so they are the most convenient alternatives.
September 15, 2004 at 10:49 pm #655095AnonymousInactiveThe most effective room rate search I’ve ever seen, especially for Las Vegas:
This thing comes up with some amazing prices for Vegas rooms.
September 16, 2004 at 12:31 am #655102AnonymousInactiveTravelaxe is excellent–they search multiple providers to help you find he best price. I recommend them.
Sidestep.com and Farechase.com do similar comparisons, although I don’t know how many databases they check.
September 16, 2004 at 12:43 am #655103AnonymousInactiveI got curious after I made my post, and checked out TravelAxe for a three-night stay Oct 2-5. I was disappointed at the rates it found, compared to what I’ve come to expect from it. Apparently the weekend rates and the upcoming G2E event jack up prices in Vegas.
September 16, 2004 at 12:45 am #655104AnonymousInactiveSupply and demand in action. Hotel rates always go up when there’s a major convention in town. They price rooms based on % of occupancy.
September 21, 2004 at 4:58 am #655266AnonymousInactiveI see rooms are no longer cheap. Some rooms are still available in Las Vegas, but you need to call as they are not listed online.
I predict the same problem for next year in Las Vegas.
Rule of thumb: Book Early from now on. Book 6 weeks or more and you are safe.

Course the aladdin resort suite or the Bellagio Salone Suite at about $1800 for 3 nights looks nice … But then again why would anyone need a 54″ TV in vegas!
We booked one of the jacuzzi suites at the Excalibur for a little more than 1/3 of the aladdin suite. Maybe we will fill it with champaign :rollover:
September 22, 2004 at 7:24 am #655294AnonymousInactiveHey Ark,
We’re in a jacuzzi suite as well 😎
Maybe we’ll be on the same floor and I can knock on your door at 4am, drunk and in my boxers, asking if that’s where the hookers are! :p
September 22, 2004 at 12:49 pm #655297AnonymousInactiveHey Ark and Integrity,
I look forward to seeing you both in Vegas.:cheers:

On second thought Ark, Allan will take care of the 4 am visits!

Cap’n… damn glad to hear you’ll be in Vegas!
I look forward to seeing you again, and my bud Anthony will be there… He “knows” you from GPWA (He was “BestDeal”) and is eager to meet you after all my stories! 😎
