OK … speaking of SPAM …
I sent out some stuff to my mailing list … one of the people is with mindspring (go figure) … this HAS to be the most annoying place on the Planet!
I keep getting this autoresponse thing that says the member has spam blocking turned on … or whatever, and I have to click a link to “request” that they accept my e-mail.
I have been going round and round with Earthlink (owns mindspring) for MONTHS !
I told them I am not going to be clicking links requesting that people pick up their damn mail. If they want to get it … fine, if they don’t want to get it … that’s fine too … not my problem one way or the other.
I have long since removed the person from my mailing list, but still keep getting this autoresponse thing 3 times a week in regard to this same stupid stinking piece of mail that was sent out back in May.
I have sent nasty letters to Earthlink at every address I can find online or off.
I have even called their Corporate offices and tried to appeal to their common sense ! (Turns out only 7% of people actually have common sense … obviously none of the 7% work at Earthlink)
It is my contention that they need an additional link in this autoresponse thing that says … cancel delivery of this stupid piece of mail.
Not that difficult …simply add an additional link … right?
Anyway, now I am getting really PISSED … even been considering getting an attorney to sue them for spamming me with their annoying autoresponse letter 3 times a week (since MAY).
Any suggestions as to whom I can turn these obnoxious people in to ?
I am also getting CASINOCASHCOMPS.COM spam

I do not spam …. Did anyone opt out of the lists ???? as well you have to subscribe into these lists …. to even be in them …. first off I see no reason to send fellow webmasters emails about casinos … second you had to have opted into these lists sometime in the last 5 years or so years if your email is in them …
I am sorry you were not deleted if you even tried to opt out …. pm me with your email addies and I will take them out of the lists manually …

Hey,
I always have a unsubscribe link on all my opt in emails that I send … You or someone else had to have subscribed your emails in to my lists in the first place. There are always opt out links in my emails at the top and bottom of the emails in english.
I have never spammed so why should I start now ?
… as well I have never collected emails with bots or any other means then a opt in box on my sites …. Krystall whats the email addy pm me and I will remove it by hand ??? again sorry but I have no reason to piss anyone off here not sure why or how you got in the list but I will remove both of you if you pm me ….

First, this is a really old post from SEPTEMBER that someone resurrected.
Secondly, I should not ever have appeared on your lists at all at any time, unless you are obtaining email addresses from dubious sources.
Thirdly, you yourself know that you should NOT be opting-out to most spam because it just adds you to more lists. I really don’t care if your opt-out is in English or Swahili, I ain’t clicking on it.
Simply remove all addresses containing got2bet.com in it and you’ll be fine – but I highly suggest you carefully scan your sources of email and require double opt-in – and stop taking other people’s word for it when they claim to be selling you double opt-in lists.
