I’ve been getting a lot of spam lately addressed from ‘Beawinner’, beawinner@hushmail.com

The unsubscribe link doesn’t work. The affiliate link is
    xhttp://www.spcmt.com/index.asp?a=22896

I don’t know if the spcmt.com domain is part of Spin Palace proper, but the page there also includes affiliate links directly to spinpalace.com with the same affiliate ID.

    I just forwarded a copy to spamreport@wagershare.com

I’m getting about 6 of these a day. Enuf!

    Hi Guys

That domain doesn’t belong to Spin Palace and it’s not an affiliate either. The ‘a’ tag used in the link is from the marketing deparment so this looks like a media buy gone wrong.

I’ll speak to them this morning and see what’s going on.

    Best regards,

    Tim

    Hi Guys

Please could you list the email addresses you are receiving the emails to. The marketing deparment have spoken to the publisher who says that the list is opt-in, if I can go to them with the emails they will be able to ask the publisher where it is the emails were signed-up from.

    Thanks

    Tim

I’ll PM you the email address in a moment.

However, even if this were an opt-in list, does anyone really want to receive the same crappy spam message 6 times a day? There’s just no justification for this, opt-in or not.

Thank you Ken, I’ve passed your email to the media buyer in question who will contact the publisher. I agree that 6 emails in a day is not acceptable and am following this up.

    Best regards,

    Tim

Please can anyone let me know if they are still receiving the Spin Palace emails. The publisher in question is swearing blind that unsubscribes are being honoured so any email problems you were having should have stopped.

Is anyone still reveiving these emails?

    Best regards,

    Tim

The problem with these people and unsubscribes (as I am sure you are well aware)… Is that they then KNOW that your email address is valid.

Then what happens??? They spam you with something else.

I doubt anyone wants to unsubscribe so that they can pelt them unabated with Viagra, ‘grow your penis’ mailings.

    Anyone? Anyone?

I agree with Blue, this is abvious a spammer and an un-ethical promoter, they should be banned for life. There is too much honest traffic and these people went way over the line.

    Tim,
I haven’t received any of these since a couple of days after you intervened. Thanks for your help!

Tim I am still receiving 5 emails a day all to the same address and all the same email for Ruby Fortune. Even if this is an ad-buy arrangement it should be terminated. I can’t imagine any program agreeing to sending 5 emails each day.

Combine that with the fact I never subscribed in the first place and never use unsubscribe links it’s getting a bit annoying. Anything you can do to stop the harm being done to your casino proprerties would also be appreciated by those trying to promote them ethically. Let’s leave the spam to the other microgaming programs. We all know who they are don’t we?

Tim – Have you asked him where he got his mailing list from??? If he says it was opt-in you should immediately terminate the campaign because as evidenced in this thread people who never subscribed are getting the mailings. If there are people in this forum being spammed then there are likely many more who just don’t frequent the forum, who are also receiving unsolicited emails. I know I never signed up or asked to receive his mailings. This “publisher” is a well known spammer anyway…
