I consider the limited time we have to recruit new members sacrificial if all they see is self-promoting bullshit. Its not benefiting this forum at all and its on the verge of tainting it.
I agree and if it was going on in my forum I mod I would for sure be editing out the crap and leaving a stern warning. I run a very busy forum myself and like you have no time for jackasses. :hattip:
Kudos, so I’m not alone here. Our time is valuable so wtf am I getting notification of some ass posting crap. Our time is better spent addressing genuine questions.
I guess I’m being over-sensitive but who has time for this?

Diddo! Depending on the violation I just ban and won’t bother with a warning as they know what they are doing.
Examples? The porn guy from yesterday? He was selling ad space I think. Of course I just woke up and haven’t seen yet if it deteriorated into somewthing else…
This is a business forum for a specific industry. We all are spammers in that we carry sigs to our sites.
If it’s an off topic spammer, like we had one just before London posting naughty pics, they get deleted and banned.
If they offer services that someone here may want (content writing, ad space etc) they get moved to the corresponding forum.
If its industry related but really spammy we move it to spam-a rama, people like to make fun of these and tear them down and in spam-a-rama we allow this. They end up with a dirty name for their effort most times.
I have several forums of my own and they are not business forums but consumer forums and spam is radically removed.
It’s a bit different here. If you think it’s spam, feel free to confront the poster and pm me. We have pretty much let the community decide what they want to see in ways of commercial posts.
Right now additional censorship is about the last thing we need here. We are in a difficult phase and we need to let people know that they can post freely what they think, as long as it is not a personal attack on anyone.
