Out of curiosity, what is your planned application for this? I personally don’t think a small banner can offer even close to the same experience of playing a slot game inside a full casino lobby.

Has anyone ever tried this form of marketing?

I have viewed some people promoting slot machine games within there website “can play for fun or register for Real money etc”

I’m thinking about giving it a try on a sub site. :inlove:

Interesting concept – sort of based on the Impulse buying concept that supermarkets are famous for. I would agree with earlier poster that the game experience cannot be nearly as good as what you would experience in a full casino lobby. My intuition tells me that this might cater well to a one-time, impulse player only. But, if the banner is eye-catching enough, there may be some room for some quick cash, from many players. Let us know how this works out.

    thanks for the feedback!

basically this way is surely not the same as a full casino, but also does not exactly aim to be…
I think that our new way of presenting games has added value comparing to the traditional way, because regular banners devalue the sites where they are placed.
a banner that advertises a casino, no matter how nice the banner is, devalues the web site that placed it for 2 reasons:
    1. visitors will optionally leave the web site to the site of the casino (the web site looses a visitors)
    2. the banner consumes space in the page which is “advertisement space” and is somehow “annoying” to the visitors and therefore makes the page loose value.

sms fruit machine is not “advertisement space” on the web site but it’s a game so it only adds value to the site and the visitors can register and play so the profit is not lost. and this “added value” can be translated into profit.
Here are some examples (sketches) of integration in web sites: http://humansapiens.com/onlinebannergames_integrations.html

basically I am just a game maker, we developed this new technology in my company HumanSapiens in Estonia and now looking for partners that can help with the production,
We are looking for: investors – companies that finds our ideas and technology interesting and want to join our projects and get revenue from the profits.
online gaming operators that can operate our games and have knowledge and experience with regulation issues (since it’s a big a and complex issue in online gaming).
affiliates – the affiliates that will bring our product to the market

We have many more ideas that that will bring more added value to the online game,
one example is the feature “Lissa is telling jokes” in SMS fruit machine:
“Lissa” is the small girl-figure on the left side of the game, she is “talking” with the players,
it’s proven that a personal figure that talks to customers on a web page results in more sales (comparing to writing information as simple text)
“Lissa” talks by just hovering with the mouse on her, no need even to click, this is because the game is also a “banner” and people avoid clicking on banners since they don’t want to navigate away from the given page
In the background is our “joke server” this is a database of jokes that is managed separately.
the jokes are there for a reason: jokes are “entertainment”, same as games.
people can read FREE jokes just by pointing on the banner and this can also convince them to register
people can decide to register in order to get access to more jokes (that are not available for players that are not registered).
also between one joke to another there is a space to place advertisement text that visitors will surely read if they read the jokes.
“Lissa is telling jokes” is another way of adding value to the online banner game. you can see it here: http://humansapiens.com/onlinebannergame.html
(hover with the mouse on “Lissa” and see how it works)

We continue to develop our technology and ideas in parallel to this forum and will be very glad to get feed backs and find partners.
I publish a similar thread in GPWA forum since I think that the two forums contain a majority of the online gaming industry

some more things that I want to show:

    1. widget that can put sms fruit machine in web sites in easy way: Widgetbox › SMS fruit machine Widget
    2. our home made “sms fruit machine editor”: Put SMSFruitMachine in your web site @ SMSfruitmachine.co.uk
    3. The world’s smallest fruit machine is fully functional at 76 x 53 pixels: The world’s smallest fruit machine is fully functional at 76 x 53 pixels @ SMSfruitmachine.co.uk

    looking forward to feedback :)

New features in SMS Fruit Machine! based on YOUR feedback :clapper:

    1. new option to show at start-up only the slot machine (without Lissa and the controls box)
    2. new option to define the location where the banner will sit in the destination page
    3. new section of “thanks to…” that will include each person that contributed to us icon_mrhappy.gif

The integration is simple, I made sketches of designs of web sites with the game integrated in them here.

What is needed is in the fruit machine editor (here) define the background color and other options and HTML is created automatically that you can “cut and paste” to your web site.

We are searching for feedback! especially from affiliates, but also from operators regulators, investors, and according to it continue to develop the idea.

p.s I put 1000000 chips in this user, please do not try to withdraw the money icon_lol.gif

I quite like this idea, but from a licensing perspective, there couple be quite a few grey/problem areas re: legality.
I would suggest looking into how gambling laws would see this as my initial insticts are it could be a very complicated area.

    regards

    thanks for your feedback :)
yes, for sure regulation is a big issue,
that’s why I decided to try to find people from the industry that find the idea interesting and have knowledge in the field and want to partner with us and contribute in the regulation field

we are focusing on our specialty that is technology and marketing and look for partners with knowledge in regulations

i think this is a pretty cool idea and could be implemented well within relevent content pages for the actual game the banner represents.

otherwise, if not implemented strategically, i think it would probably just increase your server load and distract visitors from information and calls to action, potentially decreasing conversion power of your content.

    Thanks addaminsane for the feedback!

In this post I want to address affiliates:

It’s time to talk about important thing, what are the things that affiliates want to have in this online banner game?
this is a chance for every affiliate to give his demands and needs and I will consider every opinion that I get from each affiliate while continuing to develop this technology.
until today affiliates had only the option to choose from a given list what to put in their site, here affiliates can also contribute to the creation of it.

I wrote the following list of things that I think that affiliates want (I’m also an affiliate so I know that I would):

Please give total 20 points to all of these together:

    1. highest profit possible
    2. banner that looks good / cool
    3. banner that makes your site look good / cool
    4. banner that you personally like to play the game in it (and for REAL money)
    5. banner of a company that is known among the people that come to your web site and has a good name
    6. good customer support for you as affiliate of the game
    7. other: (write here what is it, can be anything…)

    For example you can write:

    1. 19 points
    6. 1 point

    or another example:

    1. 4 points
    2. 6 points
    4. 6 points
    7. 4 points -> picture of sexy on the banner!

    or another example:
    4. 10 points
    7. 10 points -> I dont like slot games, I want another banner game like pacman or something else

you can answer here in the forum or in private message
Thanks and looking forward to your answers :hattip:

    Hello,
In this post I’d like to mention in brief the legal aspect of operating an online gambling game for real money.
I consulted with Mr. John Hagan from http://www.harrishagan.com
He shared with me interesting things about the subject. apparently the regulations subject is big and complex and there is much more in it. I put here some of the basic things that we discussed:

    JohnHagan.jpg

    Gambling Regulation

Under UK gambling laws, any game involving any element of chance which offers prizes is likely to be classed as gambling. It makes no difference whether the prize on offer is money or a product which has some value (“money’s worth”).

A premium rate SMS would normally be regarded as a payment to enter, despite the fact that money is not deposited in the usual way. A basic rate SMS may not be regarded as a payment to enter, but a game can, in fact, still be classed as gambling despite there being no payment to take part.
Laws in other countries do vary, however as a general rule, games based on a random number generator will be classed as gambling if there are prizes on offer and participants must pay to take part (whether directly, by premium rate SMS or other means).

A limit on the number of games that may be entered per year would not prevent the product from being gambling, although this would be socially responsible.

A license would be required to operate a game and this is likely to be the case in most other countries as well.

These answers do not constitute legal advice and may not apply to your individual circumstances.

    Thanks Mr. Hagan
