InactiveSome have a “wait and see” stance.
I see nothing wrong with that.
These are difficult decisions and jumping the gun is not good, different jurisdictions and softwares have different things to consider.
On the other hand, implementing decisions without informing us is bad form.

InactiveSome are also on a “UNDER THE RAIDAR” position… They dont want to make any kind of public or official announcement..
Its best to try to get in contact with your affiliate manager and just ask

InactiveWe are currently in the process of obtaining further advice with the objective of fully understanding the applicability and impact of the Act to our US players.
However, for the time being, there is no change and we have not yet made the decision as to what will happen with US player accounts.
This is an excerpt from an e-mail from one of the affiliate programs I belong to, I am 100% sure it is a standard e-mail that has been sent to all affiliates so I don’t see why other affiliates have made no statements at all!
I am not annoyed with all “fence sitters”, just the ones that have NOT let us know where they stand. I don’t mind a wait and see attitude as long as I am being kept informed. I can’t understand ANY affiliate program that doesn’t take the time to at least send a standard e-mail out saying “continue as is until further notice”.

InactiveI don’t think anybody is truly sitting on the fence so they can rip affiliates off.
This hurts the programs just as much as it hurts us, and they’re scrambling to explore alternatives before conceding that they must shut out certain markets. The legal ramifications are a grey area and we’ve seen how people have been arrested because U.S. authorities are willing and able to flex their muscle in the grey areas.

InactiveNot complaining about getting ripped off, never even mentioned by me in this thread until now!
I am complaining about the lack of communication, as it doesn’t require much effort to fire off a standard statement. It is not me that should ask the affiliate programs what is going on, it’s their business therefore information should flow downwards!
I just can’t understand why some affiliate programs let us know what’s going on while other programs keep us in the dark, maybe its just that some programs are more professional than others!

I agree, there is NO reason that these affiliate managers can’t send out a short email. It’s just plain “good business”

InactiveI agree 100% about that not notifying affiliates about changes is abad way to treat affiliates and not good business – and I resent finding out these things via emails sent to players!
However, I ranted about that in another thread and was called a flamer…
Heck, I wouldn’t even say what I just said if I hadn’t been partying tonight. Has the effect of lowering my inhibitions and affecting my judgement … :clapper:

Originally I read this thread to address programs that were struggling to find a way, that is what doesn’t make sense.
You can’t announce a decision that hasn’t been made yet, and I applaud programs that take the time to thoroughly examine the situation before they do make decisions.

InactiveSome like I said are just sitting back and not making any noise like that kid in the back of the class. Not shure why you guys dont see this but thats ok….
Just ask..

InactiveWe are getting ready to launch our program on the 1st of November although at the moment we are exclusively working with Playtech properties we are planning to add other networks that do accept US players as soon as possible. We will keep our affiliates informed as soon as we see any changes.
