They stopped taking funds from gambling sites years ago. I think when EBay took over.

Although gambling sites are banned from using paypal, there do seem to be a few sites which use it including betfair.com, I have no idea how they get around this? :-s

I did notice that it’s mostly sportsbooks that accept paypal. And you can only use paypal if you live in specific countries..

I have no clue on the how or why.. but here is some additional info. I wouldn’t shout “stay clear”, but do stay with the known brands..

I think these are the countries that are allowed:
Austria, Denmark, Finland, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom, Australia, Greece, Ireland, Portugal & Sweden.

And these I know that work with paypal:
    victorchandler
    betfair
    ladbrokers
    bwin

As a person that lives in the UK I would find it odd that I couldn’t use any payment method online – We have grown up with bookies on every street and slot machines in every bar and obviously now have a regulated online gambling industry so see advertising everywhere from TV to print so using a payment system we are comfortable with online seems completely normal for me –

As those companies are clean and legal and as gambling online is legal in the UK I see no reason why PP wouldn’t work with them – I noticed on my last trip to Vegas Ebay has a huge slot now so they obviously recognise the money in gaming but need to do it carefully so as not to risk their core business

wow guys thank you all! for the information :)

allfreechips and slotplayer I’m curios why stay clear of pp?
i know there alot of other e-wallet sites,
but the ordinary man/woman know mostly only pp and they believe its safe and not risky. is fraud the reason you guys believe i should stay clear?
