So glad to hear fonzi
Tim is pretty amazing… No joke, I learned quite a ot during the webinar too- super valuable info. I’ll post the recording once all is available.. And I’ll email it to you, too!February 23, 2012 at 1:48 pm #821825Anonymous
InactiveTruth hurts when you see all your mistakes pointed out there, and I dont mean the selected sites but the same mistakes we all make on most of our sites. Once you accept the fact though that outside eyes are more important than your own then you can make progress.
I always felt though that in the casino field people almost expect the flash of vegas to appear on the sites as well but I think the calm look will always do better.

InactiveI too had a previous appointment that I could not miss, so I had to miss the online webinar.
Since I’m currently in a ‘fix my crummy sites’ mode. I’ll be waiting for the recap.

InactiveI can say though that Tim would just shake his head at the orange ad bar on the top of the CAP pages

ABT – Always Be Testing
We tossed it up for a short period to see what the data says. Just testing it right now. From my talks with Tim and other experts in the past, I think this kind of stuff does hurt when you have a specific call to action on the page. For example, if you’re a lead-gen landing page and you’re trying to collect e-mails, but have a hello bar that has a different call to action.
Many content sites use these including quicksprout.com and 7 Deadly Sins of Landing Page Design » SitePoint (that’s actually a page about tim ash’s talk). If you wanted to, test a hellobar with a call to action around player incentives such as deposit bonuses, and see what happens. The tool takes 5 minutes to get up, and has full stats.
Never know until you try itFebruary 23, 2012 at 3:31 pm #821834Anonymous
InactiveArjun, is it called hellobar? Got a link?
I think I have some pissed off AM’s right now, I’m asking them all for banners that don’t move, lol. This is going to be fun.

Yep it’s Web Toolbar – Get More Clicks with the Hello Bar Notification Bar. If you’re on wordpress, make sure that you install the plugin. Makes it a lot easier to toss up. If not, you’ll just need to embed the code on your site
