InactiveI think its faster and cheaper to take the tube to hammersmith.
The hotel is around the corner and you just take the tube directly from the airport.January 12, 2009 at 5:31 pm #792391Anonymous

Hop on and its just a few stops to Hammersmith (same line). Will save you about 10 double vodkas.

Hotel can’t be far from the tube as it’s dead in the middle.

It’s always the guys who say the tube is easy–they’re not the ones with two heavy suitcases, laptop and handbag to schlep around!

LOL I was thinking the same thing. If you can afford it then take or share a taxi.
I could not imagine taking public transportation with anything other than my purse.January 12, 2009 at 10:09 pm #792414Anonymous

When did you say that? Was it somewhere between the ‘uh’ and the ‘oh?’

InactiveSomewhere between the Tube and the Taxi is the Heathrow express to Paddington, which is about a 15 minute trip, and is much easy to get to street level and taxis than the tube. There is even first class, which may or may not have porters to deal with bags. i’ve heard a cab from heathrow can be a fortune and a long ordeal.

First class rail travel in this country normally just means a different colour seat cover
