I think most would agree (sweeping statement i know) that sex and casinos do not go together. Ask anyone who have advertised on adult related sites and they’ll probably tell you that those advertisements were a complete waste of money.

But who knows, yours might work…

I thought as much, as if it did work it would be much more widespread. As it is there is pretty much only playboy casino, and I don’t know how popular that is.

I wonder if there’s a good reason why they don’t mix well.. instinctually you’d think they would.

If you just make it a “playboy” type portal, as far as look and feel is concerned, it may work. I will be niche and attract mostly males. Not sure what the exact demographics might be, dunno much about porn.

I wouldn’t carry actual sex ads, that confuses the issue. Just a certain look and feel. But, while it may take you a while to establish the niche, I am always for doing something different. All the portals out there look all the same and seem interchangeable. You would be more memorable.

Not a fan myself…like them both, just not together :) Saw an advert in last month’s gambling.com magazine for a poker room or something with a nude model on and, nice though she was, just made the poker room a bit cheap and tacky IMO. Can’t remember it’s name.

Another point to note is… Personally, i would never trust all porn related sites with my personal(banking) details. I feel that porn erodes the credibility of a portal/casino and we know how important credibility is in this business.

Imagine them showing pictures of random girls nude, who knows what they might do to your credit card details?

But if its a ‘playboy’ style type of portal like the one Dominique mentioned – it might work. It is a niche largely unexplored and you could be the pioneer! :)

    Another point to note:

AFAIK casinos carrying the eCogra seal are not allowed to advertise (affiliate or otherwise) on sites that are too raunchy.

Both the sex industry and the casino industry are targeting the same demographics (men, 18+) and they’re both driven out from traditional advertising. Nonetheless, sex ads on casino site seam or casino ads on sex site are not a natural combination.

    Hehe guys, that does it!

Now I am seriously thinking of putting up a sexy gambling site for women!

Tastefully sexy… not porn. There is a difference.

The original post was talking of showing one sexy female pic, not creating a raunchy porn site.

It doesn’t make sense to me. Sorry for the graphic language, but if a guy has an erection and he search for a porn site, he has no interest in gambling, he wants to get off. If a guy is looking at a casino site, maybe you might turn him on with a sex ad and he might convert to a porn site, but if by chance this does happen you just lost a gambling commission for a $40 lead. That and you risk alienating every other person who visits your casino website.

    Keep them separate!

I would like to see one of these live dealer playtech casinos come up with some topless dealers. As a player, if I am going to be losing my money at the table I would just assume be looking at a nice pair while I’m at it . Then webmasters could have a tasteful page called “Topless Dealers” to appeal to a certain group of players who would enjoy something like this while not offending the rest of your visitors . I wonder what the laws are with this, to me it seems like it would set them apart from every other live dealer casino and could be a big hit.

It just seems pretty logical to me, guys like boobs, guys like to gamble. But now that I think about it I bet playtech has a provision in the licensing precluding this kind of thing with the webcams, ya think?

If it is a tasteful picture of some attractive person then fine, but if its verging on soft porn then I think some people might take offense. Not everyone who gambles is a male and not all males are horny. (Ha ha Ha)

Makes sense. Doesn’t apply to women though. If its done right, it can be subliminal arousal and just raise the energy level.

When hubby comes home, he will have a good time that night.

Kind of an interesting discussion, points at the differences between men and women, both in the topic and in the contributuions to the discussion.

Women’s porn is romance novels. They can get pretty descriptive. Not a fan myself, but a friend of mine is a popular romance writer and sent me her books to look at, and I was really surprised at the content. Looks like there is porn (and I don’t even mean soft porn, very descriptive) being sold in every supermarket – for the ladies.

having worked in a couple of different companies the normal trend we found that alot of our fraud activity comes from sites advertising porn and adult content. my advise would be to stay away as someone else mentioned I find it makes the site you are promoting look cheap and tacky but again that is my opinion.

However bet365 affiliates dont approve any sites with this type of content maybe working with a site that is based around this would work.

and Dominique you are very correct, us ladies are little more subtle than your average male :tongue:

Looks trashy to me too and not at all the subliminal type content we are talking about here.

The original post talked about a pic of one sexy lady on the site, not full fledged porn.
