Hi, I’ve been running the site: GNF – Gambling Network Forums – APAT UK Team Champions 2011 for a few years without advertisers (aside from adverts for Poker.co.uk, which I also own).

However, with the imminent sale of Poker.co.uk, I’ve decided to accept other advertisers in it’s place. Earlier this year I added “advertise here?” banner spaces, and have received quite a lot of enquiries (mainly from casino companies, but also sportsbetting, bingo, and the odd poker enquiry – asking for “fixed price advertising” for 1 month/6 months etc).

How do I go about setting prices for a months advertising? (e.g. CPM * no. of thousand visitors * number of days advertising purchased?). Though what do I set CPM as? Is there a useful resource detailing industry averages etc?

    Thanks :)

    BUMP!

Great question, Matt! Looking forward to seeing if any of our experienced community members can provide some insight on this question! More to follow…

If your going monthly fixed then the norm i believe is 1000 per month fixed but they must make minum 3 months deposit ect.

in other words they can/t just advertise for 1 month for 1000, you may ask the option to ask for 3000 deposit if they choose to leave after 1 month they get 2000 back ect.

Cheers Jillo, Yer i believe that is the standard (for top rated sites) 1000 month fixed but gauranteed budget ect.

Different sections on your site you can charge lower – higher price, 300 X 250 add highest 468 60 second in line ect and so on.
