    Some SEO-changes I would make:
-There is absolutaly no point in having your url in the title. I would remove that and add your keywords instead. Also your title is the same for every page. You wont get any visitors from google with that. Who did the SEO for you?

-You have pictures as links. I would make them text links instead.

    Other:
-Im using IE7 and content is being blocked on ourcasinos.php. Or my browser is complaining about some certificate.

-I would write longer reviews about the rooms.

and had an seo working for me for 4 of those months. I am getting a bit disheartened at the moment and need lifting up can anyone give me any advice on what to do now. More content? Major site changes? SEO changes? Thanks for the support so far.

you had a seo working for you for the last 4 months and he/she did not mention that you had the same content in the title tag for every page? What would Donald Trump say?

This is just my opinnion and I’m clearly no expert, however I don’t think you need casino news on every page. A total waste of valuable real estate. Same with the Bid-Ad which in some cases doesn’t really match the page. On some pages it displays casino offers, so why send a visitor away to earn a few pennies?

Best upfront. Banners/links/offers on the top half of the page fold have a much better conversion percentage. I’d move Our Games just under the top 5 casinos.

    Basic SEO information is widespread.

First Off fire your seo guy .

You have the same meta title , meta discription and meta keywords for every page , these must be different for every page .

Get rid of that bidvitiser and spin palace banner at the top of every page , makes a nice site look bad .

Get rid of the security certificate , no need for it and its annoying that it pops up on every page .

I reviewed only your home page. My comments:

I noticed you have 3 meta tags of encoding on your home page
    [PHP]

    [/PHP]
It’s not necessary to use them several times, just choose one of them and upload it to your all pages.

Regarding your keywords. You have a lot of keywords for a one page (in this case your homepage). I recommend you to choose several keywords (usually I choose 2-3 kw) and use them in your content of this page(but don’t use them very often like spam keywords).

I see you use h1 tags a lot of times on your home page, it’s awful, if you want to use h1 tag you need to use it only one time, h2 tags – 2 times, h3 tags – 3 times, h4 – 4 times and etc. Google doesn’t like when h1 tag is used very often on a one page.

Don’t forget to add titles with your keywords in your urls, for example, I would rewrite your code to this code
    [HTML]32 Vegas [/HTML]

Always use alt parameters in img tags with your keywords.

Get rid of the security certificate

I think those certificates have to do with your partygaming links.. Party made a small change in the links about 1 month ago.. I had the same problem, no notification or anything from party.. hmm..

Just renew all links you have for party and the certificate error should be fixed..

Think about what kind of impression your pages are going to make on a search engine.

If you were a search engine, and you found a site where the title tag and description for every page of the site were exactly the same, would you rank any page on that site above any page on a site where all of the pages had unique titles and descriptions?

You have multiple pages that offer little or no information, and you’re linking to those pages prominently. For example, http://www.jackpotavenue.com/casinoguidequestion.php has 2 sentences. http://www.jackpotavenue.com/promotions.php says the page is under construction. You shouldn’t include links to those pages from your site menu or link to them until the pages are actually ready. Some people go for a minimum word count of 250, some shoot for 500 words, but I think that as much detail as you can include is better for your rankings.

If you were a search engine and crawled a site where several pages were under construction or didn’t have much content on them, would you rank any page on that site higher than a page on a site where all of the pages have significant amounts of unique content on them?

The text on some of your pages is clearly advertising content that you received from the casinos. (i.e. duplicate content) For example, “AusVegas delivers all the fun and excitement of Las Vegas” is indexed on at least 28 other pages in Google. All of your copy should be original and unique.

If you’re a search engine, and you find a website with text that’s word for word exactly the same as the text on 30 other web pages that are already live, how likely would you be to rank this page above any of the others?

If you think about all your website decisions from the perspective of what you would do if you were a search engine, then most of what you should do becomes obvious.

Many times a SE grabs a snippet of copy off the page in liu of the meta desc. that would be just aweful if in the SE results it had your title and just under that it said “under construction”. That page would never get a visitor. You’d have to wait for a recrawl and in some of the bogus SE’s like Yahoo (they’re worse than ever now) it could be stuck like that for months if not years.

Thanks again guys when I entered this industry I didnt know anything about seo so got an seoer to help me yet he seemed not to be that great. Only now am I learning exactly what I need to do.

I will be implementing all these changes.

elgoog- I know you told me already I was busy building content and making other changes to the site and running my other business but I will now be making these changes as I can see these are making serious hinderance to my site. Thanks again.

-When I employed a seoer I didnt know anything about seo but was recommended him I initially paid him to recode the whole site to css which he said would vastly improve seo and then improve all the images and banners so they load better. He then made the site xhtml compatible. Does the site seo apart from the problems you have listed look good in areas because as I am no seo expert I cant review it. I rank well for some quite good keywords that is the only method I can use for checking my site seo.

    Thanks again.

“If you think about all your website decisions from the perspective of what you would do if you were a search engine, then most of what you should do becomes obvious.”

    “Randy”

Very useful quote for newbies and certainly for me just thought I would repeat it.

All the stuff about SEO and viewing your site like a search engine is great advice and extremely valid. But I think you need to step back a bit, think like a visitor to your site and ask yourself the question:

What does this site do uniquely and/or better than any other?

To be honest (I hope you appreciate I’m only replying because you said you were getting disheartened and you seem like an earnest kind of bloke) I find it hard to answer that question.

A well-optimised site is vital but unless you have a unique value proposition, it’s a bit pointless.

Site visitors are very fickle. If they don’t ‘get’ your site very quickly, they’ll go back to Google and find another site from the hundreds of thousands of search results.

Some well-established sites wouldn’t get off the ground if they started now. Don’t be tempted to copy them. Think of something new and original, focus on it and do it really well. As we’ve discussed before, Jackpot Graphs is a top idea, but it’s essentially just a new way of presenting the same information other sites do. There are other ideas out there. We just have to find them.

Keep plugging away. The best advice I’ve been given is that you have to allow 18-24 months to get established. You’re only half way there!

i’ll add my voice to the “Shoot the SEO Guy” crowd.

Things i hate about your menu:
you have 5 casinos listed and all point to a single page on top and 6 more terms at the bottom pointing to same “ourcasino” page. 11 links on every page, to ourcasino.php. Think of the bot crawling to ourcasinos.php, and seeing that it has 11 links to itself, as does every page on the site.

“Links” menu area, none (except “our casinos”) are keywords you want to rank for. I don’t think “Progressive Tickers” is the right keyword, people will type progressive with “slot machines” or “jackpots”.

I think the menu is too long, i would consider remove the links from “Guides” from the menu to a section on the home page “Guides” you have 30 links, you could do a 3 or 4 column table of “Gambling Guides”.

    hope that can help.

A quick note about the Party banners. For some reason the img src points to https://secure.partygaming.com/blahblahblah

If you replace it with http://www.partygaming.com/blahblahblah then the banners display fine and the certificate errors go away.
