I think I have grown content with the status quo – being content on making a decent profit when I could probably make more.
I try to fight that urge because of the fact that I don’t know how long I’ll be able to do this.
I walked away from a very lucrative job where I was sort of my own boss, I had 3 partners which I came to find out were 3 too many
which is why I walked.falling into this niche was a God-send and I know its my one shot at being in a position to make some real money and though I hope it goes on forever, I at least very much need it to last long enough to allow me to have accumulated enough money to get started doing something else that won’t lead to my having to answer to somebody on a 9-5 basis.
I think Mac Davis said it best in the movie “North Dallas Forty” (a good flick if you like football and its after a book that was written by a guy who played tight end, or a reciever of some kind; back in the day of the Cowboys glory days with Tom Landry at the helm – not portrayed in a flattering manner btw – although the book has a very different ending than does the movie): anyway, when he said “Hell we’re all whores. Its just a matter of how and to who you choose to sell yourself”.
Very true. And I’d say to those younger than myself. You cannot get back those days once past. And for all you know you might be dead this time next year. Choose how you want to live your life from two angles; one from today, and one from where you’d like to be in the future.
try to incorporate the two. But most of all remember you will never be young again. Enjoy it knowing you will cross your bridges as you come to them. Everyone finds a way.

Yep…hard to fight. Spent years working hard and now having to fight complacency myself.
We do the 7 days bit and the pc’s are usually on 24 hours and our work day is from about 10am-7pm for me, Ellen likes to get up at the crack of dawn and nap during the afternoon…me I never nap!
We try to take a break every 5 or 6 weeks, camping in the better weather.
I KNOW when I have had a slack attack and remember an interesting bit from tv about motivation:
It doesn’t come by itself it comes AFTER doing something first.
So…all this time I wait for inspiration has been a time waste!
Seriously, my latest efforts have been (and why you have not seen much of me around) is working out how to automate a lot of our regularly updated content and implementing some ideas that will take us to the next level.
The task is daunting and will take a while…but will be extremely satisfying to achieve.
