We get hundreds of applications every month during normal times. Over the past several months that has increased due to the new legislation and the upcoming CAP Euro event. Many people who were previously just lurkers decided to sign up so they could have tickets to CAP Euro. We have also expanded our ties with retail affiliate communities so that brought in an influx of new faces too.
Even though we reject at least 60% of applicants (email addresses, none trouble makers etc…) we are seeing the numbers of approved members go up.

Thanks for the explanation, I looked at the member stats. Guess I was just getting a little paranoid of “lurkers”.
