InactiveHi Shanon,
We already made our reservation at the Palms, but we couldn’t get an ocean view room. Any chances of CAP requesting an additional block of ocean view rooms? If so, please let us know.

Thanks,
Valen and Ben

InactiveLooks like the hotel is fully booked for 20 May, and a few rooms left between 21-23.
Does anyone have any suggestions for alternnative accommodations?
Prof, any chance of you, Shanon or the rest of your team flexing a few muscles and getting them to block off a few more rooms for the event?

Thanks,
Sara.

vladcizsolMemberShanon please start flexing and let us know the status on rooms.
Hopefully there are rooms left. This is going to be a very large gathering and I can’t stress this enough BOOK NOW so you dont have to travel from other hotels to attend all the events.
It’s much more relaxing to just run up to your room and change after hanging out at the pool or beach then to have to trek a block or two down the road.

InactiveThe Palms is fully booked out now. The Riu is right next door – we are probably going to stay there.

vladcizsolMemberYep, the Riu looks like a good second choice.
The Riu is also a medium sized resort and WILL fill up quickly. Please register for Spring Break NOW at http://www.capspringbreak.com
then BOOK YOUR HOTEL ROOMS NOW. Try the Palms first just in case there are cancellations, if they are full visit:http://www.riu.com/?hotel=FLB&lng=es

vladcizsolMemberOk guys we have some great news!
Shanon has been working like a mad woman and she’s found us a hotel that’s within half a block walk of the Palms. We are signing a contract to reserve a block of Da Vinchi suites (King size bed in sleeping room, extra living room, kitchenette, 1 bathroom) for CAP Springbreak Attendees at extremely favorable rates ($169.00 per night!!!! for a suite). We will have complete details and reservation instructions posted on Tuesday once we get back the contract confirmation.

InactiveWhat has happened with this?
Which hotel?
April 19, 2006 at 3:36 pm #689178
vladcizsolMemberWhat happened is we havent gotten a contract back from the hotel yet. I hope to have it today. We are reserving 25 more rooms. The hold up has been we are negotiating HARD for the best rate, plus we want as many goodies as we can get for attendees. Also we moved to a different alternate hotel as the one we were originally focused on had bad reviews at Trip Advisor, I didnt want to recommend a hotel unless its top notch, clean and safe.
Shanon should report the new hotel details late today.

InactiveAh, good.
Just asking because people are asking for an alternate and I sure don’t want anyone missing out.
Boy, I am so looking foward to this, I can’t wait!

InactiveAs you may know we have used up our original room block at The Palms hotel. Unfortunately we were not able to get a new room block because the hotel is nearly 100% occupied. However, we have arranged for a 2nd room block at The National hotel in South Beach for $229 weekday and $299 weekend. Compared to other hotels of the same quality, the room rate is very good. Rooms can be reserved by calling The National Hotel toll free number 1-800-327-8370. Please mention the group code Casino Affiliates to receive the discount. There are only a limited number of rooms and once this block is used we will not be able to make group arrangements. The average hotel rate for this time period is $400. I cannot stress enough how important it is to book your room now. For more info on The National hotel go to: http://www.nationalhotel.com
NOTE: Transportation WILL be provided by CAP between the two hotels.

vladcizsolMemberUpdate!!!
We booked a 35 Room Block at The National for CAP Spring Break and guests have already registered for 19 of the rooms. That leaves 16 in the block left at these low rates.Since CAC Amsterdam and the Passover/Easter holidays are over we are averaging 10 new registrants A DAY, we STRONGLY advise you to book your rooms NOW so that you dont pay more for a room.
Also we are providing shuttle service from The National. If you dont book soon and get stuck making reservations at another hotel you won’t be around everyone else and you will have to taxi or walk to The Palms, so chop chop, call in NOW.

InactiveThanks for organising the room block at the National guys. I called through from down under and booked a room at the special rate with no hassles.
