InactiveObviously everyone makes their own call, but the way I look at it is I don’t want to be sending players where they are going to be badly treated or, ahem, “mistakes” occur. I want my players happy, because they’ll stay longer and I’ll do better with them. Additionally, a lot of savvy players know the “bad apples” and if they see them on my sites, they might not trust me to give them good information. You can’t always get it right, but you can get damn close.
I never take on a casino unless they have been going at least one, probably two years with exceptions for Microgaming and Wagerworks (because they are strictly licenced and backed up by the software providers). RTG aren’t nearly as fussy about who licences their software so you have to be really picky -the Crystal Palace group is a prime example & RTG simply can’t afford to bring them to task. Playtech are only marginally better and neither offer an effective dispute backup service. Some of the smaller casinos also don’t have a backup mechanism so if they run into trouble, there is nowhere official for players to turn. The only truly effective jurisdictions in helping the player are IoM, Gib and Alderney so licensing in these territories also impresses me.
I watch the Meister Rogue list and others and monitor the player forums – if I see regular problems (although I tend to ignore bonus complaints) I remove the casino from my site. I don’t care if a casino offers me 25% or 50% – I’m not here for the short term and if they don’t treat the players the way I’d want to be treated, I’m not interested, and monitoring the player forums and watchdogs is the only real way to keep on top of it all.
In a nutshell – ask yourself, would you play at a casino you represent/promote? If the answer is yes, then you are doing what you believe in.

It’s always a judgement call, but it’s wise to take players’ opinions into account when choosing which casinos to promote.
There are always dubious player complaints to be disregarded but casinos generally don’t get rogued without a substantial amount of evidence against them.
Choose wisely!

InactiveIt’s simple.
Who butters your bread?
The player.
Take good care of your players.

smazk32MemberSending a player to a rogue casino may give you a small boost of winnings at the beginning, but you will probably lose the player afterwards, and maybe lose more potential customers.
And more: it is really bad for the industry.

Good call Marcelo. The longer affiliates promote rogue casinos, the longer they stay around to rip players off and damage the perception of online gambling.

LucretiaMemberThere are still cap members who promote rogue casinos anyway, they seem to do very well with those programs, because of less competition.
But regardless I stick with the accredited casinos, integrity has it’s price but it is the only way forward for safe online gambling.

PqeqnjzvMemberI agree with all of you…
It’s been a bit tough finding the right program for me, that not only accepts US players , but also pays with a method that is available in the country I reside without telling me it’s a $1000 minimum to send a wire (!).. But in saying that, it’s more important to stick with what you know is best and steer clear of these rogued casinos.
Looking more into these rogued casinos and seeing more on other forums, I have 2 programs to take off my site, let’s get to work.

GuestHi all,
I’d like to add that by supporting programs which welcome blackhat affs that those who do … are effectively funding their own demise. So even if you are making money with a program that has been rogued for such issues … you’re still working your ass off to help destroy everything you’re working so hard to create.
people that think they are doing well with a program most of us would call rogue … either haven’t caught on yet that they could be making much more with a different program (provided they do a little homework and find a suitable replacement) or they truly believe they are above what so many others have already endured.
They surely cannot believe that a program where many seasoned affs come forward to say is no good or not too be trusted … is actually a worthy sponsor.
One last thing to ponder. Programs that have established themselves, rogue or not, can afford to play a different game than can newly arrived rogues. Meaning the established places won’t have a need to screw their affs in any sort of rushed time period.
No, instead they can afford to keep you happy at least long enough so that you accumulate a decent sized player base … and then they screw you.
As a result of not getting paid or getting shorted you choose to not promote that sponsor any longer … which then plays into their T&Cs that state they can close your account if you are not actively promoting them.
Its just a bad idea all the way around. Best said shortened: you lay down with dogs you WILL get fleas. Just a matter of when.

LucretiaMembersome however seem not to care and share the fleas.

PqeqnjzvMemberIn a way I’m kinda worried either way about potentially having to chase my hard earned money down that I’ve put so much time into.
But at least the rougues have gone from my site so I should hopefully be reducing the chance of this happening quite a bit!
Plus from a moral standpoint of course.Rewards Affiliates are one of yours bb1webs, you find them to be a good program? I hope so because I have just joined them this evening and are the replacements! So far I am very happy with the contact I have had with one of the affiliate managers there and especially with all they offer as far as it goes as banners and their promotions, etc, on the thousand casinos they have (I’ve got a LOT of work to do!).
PLUS: What are people’s attitudes towards Golden Casino? If I am correct in saying, that has been rogued from CasinoMeister.

InactiveI don’t promote Golden Casino. We have complaint after complaint at our forum about Golden Casino. They seem to be slow paying to no paying for players. And I can’t honestly recommend them to anyone from a players standpoint or an affiliates standpoint.

PqeqnjzvMemberThanks for your reply Daera,
I don’t know when you redesigned the HodgePodge but it’s very nice looking

I remember looking maybe a year back and how different it looked!
I’ve taken Golden Casino off and asked to close my account with them but now a reply trying to get me back :flush::flush::flush:

GuestHi again all (BC)
I think you’ll be happy with RA. I know i am not the only one.
they do have a ton of casinos now with their new additions.

can’t say about Golden casino other than I’d sure heed D’s thoughts.
I am of the belief that quality players and by that I mean players that are seeking casinos for more than just a one time bonus gettin’ visit … will go where you recommend thus meaning that you don’t have to have a huge amount of variety just for sake of having variety.
Listing places that don’t make you money or that are a risk for whatever reason simply to have more casinos to offer on your site …. is a mistake.
Plus there are enough quality programs (albeit they are a minority it seems these days) to provide a very adequate selection on anyone’s site without them needing to bother listing programs of questionable nature.
July 5, 2008 at 6:37 pm #772057
PerThornMemberWell, put it simply.
If they dont even pay you, what makes you think your paying customers will ever see their winnings?
These rogue casinos has not place for our industry. Period.
