August 2, 2010 at 7:06 am #811379AnonymousInactiveCaptain you’ll be sorely missed… guys like myself who had their baptism-by-fire into this business, by yourself and other of the ‘Old Guard’, have a lot to be grateful for.
Our prayers are with your family at this time.

August 4, 2010 at 10:13 pm #811413AnonymousInactiveI cried so much reading all about his daughter a few years back. It seemed like this family just really dealt with so much! I will pray for Patty. Things like this remind us how close we get to people we don’t know online, without ever personally really talking with them.

August 5, 2010 at 6:20 am #811416AnonymousInactiveI was talking to a couple of Affiliate Managers, and it came as a real shock when we heard about this. The way it hits you, at first you feel lost about whats happened, and then you feel empty as you start to realise the world no longer has one of its nice guys. I’m glad I met the Captain and had drinks with him. He won’t be forgotten. Thoughts are with his daughter and wife.
August 6, 2010 at 11:34 pm #811432AnonymousInactiveI’m so sorry to hear this.
I had the pleasure of meeting Allan and Patty in Belize on an affiliate trip,
and occasionally spoke with him in the years since.
Allan was truly one of the good guys in this business.
Patty and the family are certainly in our thoughts.
Ken and JanAugust 8, 2010 at 9:59 am #811436AnonymousInactiveWOW… life…
I remember this man and how odd a fellow he was and how on many occasions I tried to befriend him and for whatever reason it seemed I could not. A complex yet endearing man I always felt he was. I hoped that in the time I was in this business I would have one day hung with him and had a few drinks of Captain Morgan and coke but alas as many great lights of life leave this world we sometimes never get to know them all.Being a vet in the business its hard to hear this news. After all that has happened in that family its so hard for me to even come to grips with this news and think of my own life. Fortunate we all are in our lives no matter how hard sometimes things seem… God only knows if we goto a better place.. and I hope Alan is there and toasting to our good fortune in this life
:capmiami:August 25, 2010 at 6:14 pm #811814AnonymousInactiveI just now read this and am in complete shock. The Captain was a great man and we spent many good times together at conferences throughout the years. I cannot believe this.
My heart goes out to the family.
