Well, I feared that would be the case. That´s probably why their domain never took of. Anyway, if anyone knows how I can register a .fr domain please drop a line :Partier:
OK, for future reference I did find a solution.
This dutch registrar offers to register the .fr in their name and you are the owner and technical contact. So I hope I can get around the socialist, beaurocratic nightmare :hattip:

ty vmI only wish they didn´t charge you € 49 per domain/year. I found another registrar which charges € 19 for .fr but doesn´t seem to have this registration service for non-French citizen which sucks.
I´ll search a bit more and see wether I can bring the price down. Not too keen on paying 2.5 times as much as the cheapest offer.
