InactiveHow on earth casinos think it is ok to redirect customers sent to casinofruit on to casinopotatoe by a business associate is beyond me. Let alone without notice and of course with no aff tags to record the thing.
& oh, oi you mug website owner, change the banners and by tomorrow week happens way too often.
I had written by hand, links in articles up to the thousand mark and was told “change them all bozo by the months end or we keep the future business for ourselves” – which I did – it took me 4 days solid editing. Within 6 months I was told to do it again, because hey mug, we’ve changed how the aff system works.
I used to get bothered by webmasters pumping shite to punters. I soon realised the affs get treated worse. Nothing changes except the goalposts get moved whenever casinobaitandswitch decide it’s time to.
There are arguably no casinos worth you guys trust atall. Cometh the hour, you’ll be robbed in a hot minute.

InactiveVery good use of “shite” in this context
Firstly, programs should announce what they are doing and not ambush webmasters and visitors alike.
Secondly, if you need to redirect then take the time to build in a notice for visitors explaining what you´re doing and why you´re doing it (doesn´t take a rocketscientist programmer to do this). That way you don´t make yourself and your affiliates look like an incompetent bunch of morons.

That would be truely disgusting, especially when on the casino end it wouldnt be too hard to map you old affiliates ids, to new automagically created afilliate ids without loss of traffic.

InactiveYes Kar.
One writes text links into articles text, articles that are indexed and stay online. They may or may not be read or clicked etc. Some articles are common news, some are long distance betting markets.
Then the firms tell you the aff links don’t work anymore.
It’s not quite “redirecting” persay, but indeed disabling completely. The practise rendered my particular style of promotion/work/earning a residual income, as useless.

vladcizsolMemberAgreed…
I am not a fan of redirecting my traffic. When this is done without informing me first I find the practice totally unacceptable.Good points Dom.
Hmmmm this topic seems oddly familiar …. :wink-wink

I have been watching the board and many places are redirecting – with and without affcodes, by banner or by mail.
This is very confusing anymore. Most places just do so when they think of it and fail to inform affiliates.
The problem with redirects without aff codes is obvious, whether it be by banner or mail.
But even redirects with codes are bad if not announced. Players who click on one casino and end up on another blame the affiliate site.
Managers, you are destructing your salesforce!
If you redirect without aff codes, you will see many smaller sites that have always sent you players go broke.
And even with aff code, if you don’t give affs notice asap so they can update their sites you are destructing the credibility of these sites.
This sort of practice has to stop if you don’t want to wipe out your own sales force.
Again, redirects are undoubtedly necessary, player need to go someplace where they can play. Please handle this responsibly in future, make sure to map affs over and post every redirect in your forum ASAP!!!!!
Thank you.I agree 100%.
Good post.
