InactiveThen the cross-channel issue remains a block for me. If Paddy Power have the facility to track cross-channel revenue (which they do) but choose to keep those monies for themselves (which they do) instead of paying it to the affiliate who generated the money in the first place, then I can’t see me promoting them.
Being offered on a case-by-case basis is not the point. It’s the RIGHT and ETHICAL thing to do for ALL affiliates.

But, i’m not sure it’s an ethical decision. For instance in some cases I’m sure we get sent traffic from affiliates solely promoting one of our products, for arguments sake lets say sportsbook. Why is it then ethical for the merchant to pay for activity in the casino if they have already paid for that traffic and for all intense purposes invested in converting that player into other areas of the merchant’s product portfolio?
There will of course be affiliates who highlight the complete product offering the merchant has and if the player converts there’s no reason why the affiliate shouldn’t be rewarded.
It cuts both ways after all doesn’t it?

InactiveThis is not the point. How he promotes the book doesn’t matter. He brings players to your door step and if you manage to milk him in three different wallets then surely the affiliate should get a share from all those activities since it was the affiliate who introduced the player to your company in the first place.

meemeeMemberI don’t think we are going to agree on this but I don’t think there is any harm in dealing with cross rev share on a case by case basis, I wish I had the time to do the same but I don’t, hence totesport’s offering of cross rev share to all affiliates.
It’s probably not the best place to bring this up seeing that the majority of affiliates who use this forum are no doubt proactive in their promotion of merchants but to say it’s the RIGHT and ETHICAL thing to do for ALL affiliates simply isn’t the case.

susan13uMemberWe do offer cross-channel rev share on a case by case basis only, for now, but what I’ve found looking around is that many programs that do pay cross-channel across the board also roll over negative commissions (which we don’t do). I won’t name them here because I don’t believe that’s fair on a public forum but a personal experience from one of our affiliates is that it took him 3 months to claw his way out of the red and back into the black. That, in my mind, is a pretty tough deal.
We have offered you cross-channel before Robert/FictionNet, but I’m not getting into that again here
