Yep… this kind of rule will make things not only tough but new affiliates will struggle as well.

It happened to me when i was promoting bet365 (they had the minimum 5 players rule), and had close to $1,000 in affiliate earnings from just ONE player…guess what, after some emails with the Affiliate Manager i was told no payouts because that rule. Sure they had that on the T&C’s before but …. So, I delisted (no blacklist) them and i making some money from another program i put in their place. Same with Bookmaker.

From that time i make sure to read the T&C’s before promoting any program.

Now, for programs to reverse contracts on that direction I surely will blacklist them, it’s not fair and think all the folks here at CAP could do the same. A list of those thief sharks should be helpful.

I managing over 600 websites, imagine just blacklisting on all websites, and so CAP members.

By the end, they will see is not worth and maybe try to come back, then, no way baby, trust is hard to recover.

BetUK doesn’t put any quotas on it’s affiliates for registering new players or on earnings to receive commission payments.

I agree, quotas are hard to work with and it feels like you’re getting slapped in the face for all the hard work.

I wish all you affiliates the best of luck with programs that getting harder to work with.

I don’t know if most of you are aware of all the retroactive changes to T&Cs that are coming down recently.

This is totally unacceptable and we need to fight back by giving less and less or no exposure to these programs.

Some of these programs are old, trusted programs stabbing us in the back, such as Playshare, Roxy, Starpartners and others.

Please check out the T&Cs of the programs you sign up with – don’t be caught stuck with a program that breaches it’s contract with you.

AGD lists the programs and their terms here http://www.affiliateguarddog.com/forums/, all marked with whether they are predatory or not.

There are heated debates all over the web regarding this sudden onslaught of illegal contract changes.

Regardless of any “catch-all” terms that state the program can do what it wants to when it wants to, retroactive changes to contracts are unfair and illegal.

Be careful who you do business with!

So does anyone want to name and shame some of these companies just yet? I’m sure all lurking affiliates would like to know, rather than trawling back through all the T&C’s for ea company.

    Great thread BTW.

I think it stinks. If I send you one player a month but they deposit over $5k per month, isn’t that better than 5 players at minimum? Very short sighted of some of these programs. As has already been said, the players will dry up, esp for some of the people like Dominique (and myself) who regularly contact our players/list members. It would not be very difficult for me to recommend all my players withdraw from x casino and re-deposit into Y (no doubt with a slick little deal from Y’s aff manager) if X suddenly imposed a crappy retroactive quota.

This is a big concern to someone like me… I suffer from burnout ALOT from time to time doing the website even though it makes me money. Sometimes its hard to focus on every program at a time. I know I for one will only promote those that allow me to sandbox my damn life and not force me to constantly chasing the ball.. f-that!

:hattip: Fair enough, true that some affiliate programs seem to appreciate quantity rather than quality, and this is the real problem. In our case at EGO – we do appreciaty quality. Come by and see for yourself…

:) Thanks Dominique, thanks God someone is trying to open up the eyes and minds of people to be careful who they do business with! I am having this deabate every day with one affiliate or another who get lured  by such affiliate programs.
