Sorry about that little slip of the hand on the computer  I accidently posted a reply before I was finished… what I MEANT to say was:
God I hate to ask this question BUT what is meant by chasing a poker hand? Chasing a hand you only HOPE is worth something and sure enough it aint?Chasing a hand is when you’re drawing to a hand. For example, if you have 4 cards to a flush and bet it hoping you’ll get another card of that suit, you’re chasing.

GuestIs that considered chasing?
I always thought chasing was going after a hand that wasn’t reasonably worth going after, such as trying to fill an inside straight.
as long as the stakes weren’t unreasonable, I’d always “chase” that last card to see if I filled a flush. I wouldn’t do the same trying to fill an inside straight.

InactiveI might be mistaken, but I think it’s still chasing.
I’ve read that sometimes it’s correct to chase.

InactiveThanks guys; I think you are both correct. Chase certain hands but not others.

Ahhh yes, but that may have been from my widely not read book I didn’t publish called “how to catch girls”
