The PageRank icon is based on a scale of 0 – 10. The higher the number the better.
So, if your page in question shows 3/10 then that’s your page rank for that specific page. If for instance your PR for you homepage is 3/10, then by linking to your other internal pages you will in effect transfer some page rank to them as well, but not the same amount as the linking page. For example, PR 5 index linked to interior pages will likely give them a PR4 etc.
Also, when checking backlinks, Google only displays backlinks with PR4 or higher. So all your interior pages linking to each other increases PR and helps your linking value according to Google, but dont panic if you dont see interior pages showing up as backlinks… they need to be PR4 or higher, remember.
i hear hear about your guyses sites ranking 5 & 6 how do you find that out? thanks.
The PageRank indicator on the Google toolbar is how people determine their page rank. Note that Page Rank (PR) is specific to individual web pages and not to sites as a whole.

yea thanks keven11. i’ve always wondered how you found your page rank. i checked them again and now they don’t say any # but 0/10. guess the new crawl really DONE me in. thanks again.
Don’t despair yet, the google page rank bar will twitch about for a few days before it settles – either on your 3/10 or not!
Then it’ll sit there for what seems like forever, until the next time (weeks from now) the google serpent will rear it’s seeking head again.
On my first google twitch, (about 3 weeks ago) my page rank went from 0 to 3 to 0 to 3 ….until it finally settled on 3/10. Now I’m anxiously awaiting the next round – hoping all my efforts will pay off for a higher twitch!
It was so funny (in hindsight), I was so excited to finally see a blip on the google radar, I was jumping and whooping, and the next time i looked it was gone! lol What a tease.But it came back..then left….then ……..you get the picture.
