To me, publishers are people with websites that are visited by a certain category of people.
I look at the demographics and if they are similair to any group I want to target ( I don’t just to gaming) I may place ads with the publisher.
To me, publishers provide access to a certain demographic of people. Should these be of interest to an affiliate, the affiliate may ask the publisher to publish an ad.
Interesting, at times these terms are used interchangeably and admittedly I do the same myself at times …. depending on whom I am talking to.
Seems that publisher is used more often outside of gaming. I suppose an affiliate is a publisher and a publisher could possibly be an affiliate but not necessarily… :exclamati
