InactiveHmmm…. I think people will have their mind on a different part of their anatomy… not in the head like is needed for most gambling.

InactiveI read somewhere, PR maybe, that adult sites convert very poorly. Nontheless, like everything else that I’m told won’t work, I may be interested in a day if you still have any left.

InactiveIt’s probably a bad idea from an immediate ROI perspective, but if you’re trying to build a brand, it might work.
Adult traffic barely converts for adult sites, so it’s unlikely to convert for gambling sites.

InactiveI advertised on a smaller adult site and had crappy ROI. I think the only way to do this would do a niche advertisement to that specific sub-group. For example don’t use the regular banners that we are supplied with.
Instead create a custom banner just for the campaign. “Gay Men Prefer Party Poker” with a gay flag, some chips, and cards on your banner.
Okay I’m still laughing, but seriously if your gonna target a specific adult niche, why not target it right by catering your advertisement to that niche.
P.S. I’m not gay :rollover:

InactiveThanks for the feedback guys.
I think its important to actually work out why the visitor is there in the first place and what sort of demographic they are for sure. I think “free bonus” banners and as Pokerstar says, targeted ads will work better than the normal stuff. Should be an interesting experiment.
For me a lot of it is brand building anyway. Brand building is the reason that my principle domain is Oggs.com rather than a keyword-rich domain.
Cheers
Simmo!
PS. my initial thread said 750,000 impressions but in fact the advert is in rotation and i think its a 1 in 10 rotation.

InactiveNice one Poker Star… LOL…
Adult traffic is generally of low quality. Given the demographics of the typical adult site surfer, I don’t think I would invest any money on anything but the absolute best sites, and then only with a well-targeted campaign that in my opinion should be very :shakebutt LMAO.

InactiveSimmo has a good idea.
But where to advertise?
Doesn’t have to be on a sex site. How about a brainstorming to figure out some companies?
My first idea:
Time Magazine

InactiveMorning Simmo,
I like the idea of aiming for different types of websites but like the others I agree a sex site might not be ideal, however there are a gazillion other types of sites that could be harvested or utilised and as cat idicates its a game of seek and find.
I would imagine the best type to look at would be one with a membership that has a good hit rit and regular visitors – reunion sites – different types of sites that have a message board ( a busy one)
It would be a bit of a gamble for you to advertise on these types of sites – but gambles sometime pay off…….
