Oh man, that Buffalo/Baltimore game is gonna be as much fun as pulling out nose hairs, damn geo targeted NFL satellite, they black out every game except Buffalo around here

Who is taking out my damn QB’s, i’m gonna bust up somebody’s knee caps for that, Arizona loses both Ace and Ace jr, that is brutal, looks like they hit a little bump in the road, they’ll finish up strong i would think, but at the moment they look like a shaky proposition, oddly enough i bet Carolina to beat em straight up in Week 6 on the road as a big dog, even with Vinny at QB

I also bet New Orleans to beat Seattle by exactly 11 points as a 6.5 point winless dog on the road, the score was 28-17 Orleans, i only mention this because a member here can verify that, a special edition mojo pick, Orleans lost their first game on turf this year by 31 points, then lost their 2nd game on turf this year by 17 points, then lost their 3rd game on turf this year by 3 points, showing a 14 point improvement each time out, setting up for an 11 point win lol, i dare say there are not too many sharpies around who coulda nailed that, if only life could always be so perfect

In other news, the St Louis Rams asked me if i would be interested in playing QB this week, they said i could bring a friend, let me know if any of you guys feel like being a tackling dummy, there’s a free trip to Seattle in it

I haven’t looked at the games yet but i look forward to Pitt vs Denver, being a Steeler i know Denver is owed a major beating for all the trouble they caused us over the years, that little peckerhead Shanahan is a tricky guy, don’t underestimate Denver, they went up 10-0 on Indy a couple weeks ago in Indy, and it was real, they outplayed em early and were looking good before falling apart, Shanahan has Super Bowl wins and always gets out Plan A for the big teams like Pitt, Indy, NE

And my Mojo pick, which should get me a CAP Award lol

Miami pulls off the shocker of the year and possibly of all time by beating New England, i’m telling you, humiliation nothing, New England gets totalled in Miami, you can ask me how it happened later, although i’ll be busy signing autographs after that one

During the game, the announcers will say: “Wouldn’t you have liked to have been the guy who bet on Miami beating New England”, and that guy they are referring to is me, Go Fish

Don’t even waste your time looking for an angle as to how it could possibly happen, there aren’t any, it’s just me and my immortal voodoo kit taking over this game, i’m just hoping they’ll put up a spread on this one, gotta figure New England will be favoured by about 20 points, they might just leave it off the board

Nick, I agree with you 100% that Miami beats up on New England!!! They better, I’ve got lots of money riding on the game. At the time I placed the bet, New England was the favorite at -15

I can’t imagine anyone in their right mind betting on Miami to beat New England, besides me, although my sanity has been questioned many times

This is the kind of game where people laugh at u if you’re wrong and fear u if you’re right

Bleuze gotta be an old man, i think i know what u remember, u can only pick this one from memory

It’s their own record they’re protecting, no doubt a little extra incentive to perform well in this one

I remember seeing Miami knock off a few undefeated teams going after their record recently

Chicago was 7-0 last year when the 1-6 Miami Fishmen went into Chicago and whooped em 31-13

Definitely not the team you wanna play if you’re undefeated, a potential shocker in the works

It’s interesting because New England will be well aware of this and Miami beat them 21-0 last year in the famous “they stole our playbook” game, at a time when New England was coming in off of 3 straight wins, and then went on to win their next 5 games, so Miami knows how to knock off teams that are playing really good, this one is gonna be a scrapper

I’m watching the replay of Washington vs Green Bay, haven’t had a chance to see it yet and making some observations

I put a little bit of money on Washington at 100-1 a couple of weeks ago

So they pretty much whooped Green Bay in Green Bay, but lost the game because of 1 player if you can believe that, Santana Moss, the goat of the week and off to the doghouse, they have receivers, Randle El from Pitt, Thrash for Philly, McCardell from everywhere, all guys with good playoff experience and a recent Super Bowl win, throw in Cooley, who is very cool, and they look good, this QB Campbell is pretty sharp, Moss is used to Pennington floating him the soft ball, he can’t catch any of this kid’s balls, it’s bad so he gotta learn fast or go.

Coach Gibbs is the kinda guy who will give you a shot and let you roll for as long as you can, and he’s good at turning out these no names, guys like Cooley, 3rd round pick, 1500+ yards and 13TD’s last 2 years, had 97 yards and a TD vs Green Bay by halftime

The result of this game vs Green Bay is misleading, Washington is the better team, more potential anyway, looking at their schedule the last game of the year is at home vs Dallas, they could probably win that game and enter the playoffs feeling really good, then go on the road and whoop a team like Green Bay

Decent team, tough defense, Portis & Betts running the ball pretty good, nice balance, 1st round pick at QB playing good, experienced receivers that can still run good, Hall of Fame coach, that’s a pretty nice package to get at 100-1 odds

Sometimes when you’re gambling you can’t get the best so you gotta beat em with what you have, and that’s the way it rolls

As far as my thoughts on Green Bay go, i think they are average, coach is a bit unproven and might be some sort of genius that i am unaware of, Favre will never win again, i gotta admit i never really liked him, even though he is a legend, something about his persona bugs me, i think what i’m trying to say is that he’s a bit of a flake, defense looks solid enough

A snowball has more of a chance in hell, than Miami does of beating NE this week! LOL

NE has too many weapons…. and they are clicking on all cylinders… I dont see anyone giving them a contest till they play the Colts, and I’m not sure Peyton and crew can take NE…..

fatbill stepping in with the response i was hoping to get, i don’t want anybody to think Miami has a shot in here

Truth is Miami is 7-2 at home vs New England in recent history, 72 the famous year of the perfect Dolphins, doo doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo

The Fish with Lemon at QB put a whoopin on the Chowderheads

All these little things favouring the 17 point dog here

New England getting back some key injured starters for this one, usually a good thing, but not this time, team is rollin with a nice chemistry, now bringin in some rusty dogs to mess it up

New England haven’t played a game on grass yet all year, WTF, how do u not play on grass with half the season almost over, its a different game on the grass, i know my grass lol, seriously this is gonna be a lot tougher than people think for the aspiring 16-0 Patriots

I also believe that New England has never been 7-0, and Miami has never been 0-7

The game plan is simple, Miami gonna plain beat up the Patsy’s, gonna pound em on the line and run it right down their throat

Watcha gonna do when the Lemon put the squeeze on you

As for the over/under of 51.5, that is pretty much a gift line, this one is going under

    LMAO…..

The stars lined up right too? LOL

NE’s bench could put a whipping on Miami…. aint gonna be pretty Nick…. but you keep the faith! :3eyes:

    It’s like this

After listening to the experts chirp about how this New England team is the greatest of all time, and watching Brady’s head actually grow out of his helmet, i decided to test my limits

I say that i can beat New England with some fresh fish and a piece of lemon, along with my mojo of course

I got a 17 point dog that aint beaten nobody goin after the undefeated dream team

U all gonna be sitting there scratching your heads sayin how the hell is he doing that

In the NFL there is one king of the jungle, and it’s Miami believe it or not, winningest team of all time, only team to ever go undefeated, etc, etc

Just because the mighty lion is sleeping don’t make it safe to go near, if u get me

Nothing to prove, nothing to play for, except this game, games like this bring out the best in them

Taking a more logical view, Miami is 13-1 to win this game at home, New England should get pounded just for that outrageous line, that line says Miami roughly wins 1 out of every 13 games vs New England at home, REALITY is that Miami wins 9 out of every 13 games at home vs New England, that is reality.

Another reality is that during all those Super Bowl winning seasons recently going back 10 years almost, Miami is the only divisional opponent that New England does not have a winning record against, behold…

NEW ENGLAND IS 10-10 SU AND 10-9-1 ATS IN THESE GAMES.

Now you can all sit there and say that this New England team is better than the ones that won the Super Bowl, but that don’t make it fact

On their best days in 2001, 2003, 2004, when they won the Super Bowl and beat everybody without much trouble, they were 1-2 vs Miami in Miami, and in each case they were coming into the game rolling off a win and then winning the game after playing Miami, absolutely no excuse, things couldn’t have been more perfect

Just think about that a while before laying out 17 points or thinking this is some gift game, New England got outscored by 25 points combined in their 3 Miami games when they were winning the Super Bowl

If i were a lawyer this case would be won, but they still gotta play, i’m just looking forward to it, they took the money line off the board after i started pounding it lol, bring it back, cmon cmon, i’m a fish, i’ll take the 13-1, gimme gimme

sorry I missed last week. been busy and fighting a cold. still am.

which of either teams show up? but agree with Prof / Baltimore @ Buffalo – Which Baltimore shows up? Buffalo can be a problem when they are on so this is a tough one. I am a Ravens fan so I am going with the birds.

agree / Atlanta @ NO – Ok, even though Deuce is still out Brees is showing signs of life and the NO defense is tightening up. New Orleans

tougher game than i think anyone may guess but I agree the skins will win/ Arizona @ Washington – Washington fires it up.

agree / SF @ Giants – Eli is developing, the Defense is tough and the Giants are on a Roll. NYG big.

agree (sorry Nick) / NE @ Miami – In years past this was a great rivalry. This year its the best team in the NFL playing a boys club second string club. Train wrecks are less brutal. NE humiliates the fins.

    agree / Tenn @ Houston – Tennessee

Bucs have trouble at inside stadiums and even more trouble anywhere north though the cold shouldn’t be a matter…. but I’m taking detroit on this one / TB @ Detroit – Wow a good game. Gotta go with the Bucs.

about the time I put away my KC shirt they are in the running for an ass kicking in a wild card game. Gotta stay with my team though. KC / KC @ Oakland – A good game. DO I dare to go for KC…. Yeah I guess I do!!! KC in a shoot out.

LOL. I’ll need to play coach as I am not sure i can run 100 yds thru 2 hours trying :), but agree Cinn can put up more points / NYJ @ Cin – Battle of the bums. They both stink. Who is more inept? I think Cinci can put up more points so I am going with them. I have a feeling if Me, Nick and BB1 suited up we could beat either of these teams. Dom could be the kicker.

Toughest choice for me. but am taking chicago just to be different from Prof :), but I don’t know / Chicago @ Philly – Nice defensive game. Westbrook is supposedly back though and that takes pressure off McNabb. I am going with the Eagles.

Rams still aloud to play in nfl? agree / STL @ Seattle – Seattle in a rout.

agree / Minn @ Dallas – Awesome running game this year in Minnesota, but Dallas is pissed off after getting a wedgie on National TV from New England. Dallas pummels the Vikings.

Agree it will be interesting. I don’t think Denver loses many Mon night games at home so I’ll take them / Pitts @ Denver – Interesting game that I think Pittsburgh wins.

My home is in a state of national mourning after losing one of our brightest stars at 26 years of age in a freak accident so i got sidetracked a bit here with the NFL and still haven’t looked at the games closely

This game can’t come soon enough for me

I like to take risks, probably a bit more reckless than most, as u can see by betting a 17 point dog to win straight up

What i think is this, i think New England loses their speed advantage playing on the grass, their receivers are lifetime turf runners, and their running game is a bit beat up, as a result this game should turn into a power matchup, which puts Miami in a good position, Miami has a nice power running game with Ronnie Brown, and guys like Zach Thomas are fresh, as is most of the team, since they haven’t expended much effort yet this year.

They do have an effective game plan that can beat New England, and really they have been New England’s #1 nemesis throughout the years, even at New England’s all time high and Miami’s all time low, Miami still found a way to prevail, and this game Sunday is just another one of those, can they do it again, we will see, but at 13-1 odds you can excuse me for putting some money on it

It’s funny, in this game, one of my pleasures is taking the side of the underdog and devising a plan to beat the opponent, i look at the matchups and expose a weakness, then i bet on them to do it

This particular game between Miami and New England has given me a lot to think about, and has made me a better person lol, looking at it from Miami’s point of view, it’s a cool little rivalry, last year Miami was accused of stealing New England’s playbook when they won 21-0

This year Miami is gonna use the trick grass angle, we’ve resoiled the field with a deadly combination of Kentucky Bluegrass and extra dark African dirt weed, only our players will be properly kleated, in addition to that, i will be conjuring up the spirits from my vsop voodoo collection, so u can expect to see the Invisible Man out there forcing turnovers for the home team

And that is all she wrote for New England, they’ll be running into the wind all day as the saying goes

If New England try to win this game they gonna pay the toll in a big way, they can really get hurt, an all out fight in unfavourable conditions is just one that is better avoided, it’s always those intangeables that make the difference between winning and losing, and i believe i have the intangeables on my side here with Miami

That’s not to say New England can’t win this game, they are a 17 point favourite and i’m making it sound like they have no shot, i just don’t see what they can gain by winning this game, they need to look ahead to their future and a Super Bowl run, and avoid fighting in the jungle with Miami, a few of those Miami guys are pretty tough, Joey Porter got shot and still played the next week while at Pittsburgh

Here’s a vintage clip of Joey Porter takin care of business

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZwgniB0e_VE

I expect Miami to overpower New England on the offensive line and get a nice ground game going, then i expect them to control the game and win, maybe i’ve finally lost my mind, we will see
