InactiveArizona as a favourite on the road, lol, we’ve reached a golden age, Zona has been the favourite on the road just 4 times since 2000, yes that’s over 100 games, and they’ve won only one of those games, so basically they are a team who have won once on the road when they were expected to win in the last decade almost, that’s pretty funny, but like i said this is a different team now, those Anthony Robbins Positive Thinking seminars really payed off.
Carolina are 2-0 on the road this year, and David Carr won in Atlanta 2 weeks ago, and they won in New Orleans last year when New Orleans was playing good, and the year before too, in fact they’ve won their last 5 games in New Orleans, yes Carolina did, hmm, they are a 3.5 point dog and +175 on the money line, i’m running to my truck
Seattle could spring a surprise in here, they have much more motivation after losing to Pittsburgh in the Super Bowl, and look better coming into the game, Pit is a bit beaten up, Ward is out, Polamalu might sit out too, those guys are 2 key starters, Seattle is 8-5 all time vs Pittsburgh and +240 on the money
There are a few upset possibilities this week, more than usual, Car, Sea, KC, NYJ, SD, Mia, Bal, Chi, all have decent shots

GuestProf …. I so wish you were right. my picks on spreads are at best …. layman’s…..
i’ve been lucky this far to some extent …. more so than not I can say.
okay ..here we go as Lou says lol:
hometeam advantage … keeping in mind I’m a KC’er : Jacksonville at KC …….. Jacksonville
haven’t seen spreads…. but straight up … agree / Cleveland at NE ……… Patriots in their usual ass whipping mode.
NO seems to be sucking …but as Prof points out …. C is hurting … wouldn’t touch this game with ten foot pole/ Carolina at NO ………. This is a tough one. David Carr sucks and Jake Delhomme is hurt so Carolina loses their passing game. New Orleans running game is a mess now without Deuce. All you have to do to totally shut it down is key on Bush. Drew Brees doesnt seem to care which jersey he throws the ball too….. This is a head scratcher and pure guess New Orleans squeaks one out.
haven’t checked spreads.. but straight up …. agree / Jets at Giants ……… Giants roll on.
I think Trent Green might pull this one out. can’t say why… no need to know spread since Miami should be an underdog going into it / Miami at Houston ………. I have put away my Dolphins shirts for the year. Houston in a beat down. (when have you ever heard THAT said about Houston?)
home team advantage … (no spread) / Seattle at Pittsburgh…… Very interesting… I am going with the Steelers.
Washington (no spread) …/ Detroit at Washington …. Another interesting game. Detroit isnt the laughing stock they were in past years so it wont be easy. I am going with Washington anyways.
I don’t know …. A’s new QB seems adequate. wouldn’t touch with spread unless Ten is an underdog … and i don’t see that happening/ Atlanta at Tennessee ….. Tennessee big
toss a coin/ Arizona at St Louis ……. Arizona (Yeah I know)
Indy …..(no spread) / Tampa Bay at Indy …… Our defensive coordinator said he wanted to call in sick for this game. I dont blame him. Its a closer game then many think it will be but Indy puts up more points. I wish I could see this one.
Denver with spread .. as long as its not more than 3/ SD at Denver …… Denver in mile high.
Coin toss /// Baltimore at SF ….. I couldnt see the Seatle game so I dont know why SF turned in such low numbers. Do they snap back or does Baltimore? I love the Ravens, but I think I am going to pick SF in this one.
agree ….. likely to cover spread too/ Chicago at Green Bay ……. Green Bay humbles the Bears
agree (don’t know about spread.. be careful) / Dallas at Buffalo ……. Ok Buffalo you had your cinderella game last week. Dallas Barbecues the Bison.
*actually… if this is mon night … i’ll likely bet the boys hard if i won earlier. whatever that’s worth ……but wouldn’t bet them hard if I lost the weekend.

InactiveCarolina with 10 points in the last 4 minutes of the game steals it on the last play, how nice for me, i’d like to thank the bookies for giving me +180 on that one, lol
And what’s that…it’s a bird, it’s a plane, damn straight, it’s a big red bird from Arizona in 1st place in their division, go Cardinals, what, hey who was that guy who said watch this Zona team this year, why that would be me, u go u crazy 140-1 shot u, all the way baby, rollin rollin
Got some nice looking action, Zona at 140-1, Was at 100-1, Ten at 80-1, Car at 80-1, on the exchange, all dropped down since i bet em, and all have winning records at the moment, if i could just get Pit, Dal, & NE at 40 or 50-1 at some point it would be a perfect world

Guestnice to be right N:
sadly …. I have not yet seen my bets come thru. took packers and boys.
so who knows? I felt robbed on the miami game thought i didn’t bet on it.
I didn’t feel it wrong to go for the 54 yrd fg try …. but where the hell was the defense?
Prof and I …. i think we traded most our wrong picks ….. he might be ahead a bit … not sure but willing to give due.
you know what i learned most from this week is something i’ve always known .. but my biggst failure is not listening to myself.
buy some points ….. bet the money. so many games were tied or lost by one point.
course …. next week will make a liar out of me …… but as I stated early on …..I’m just a layman ….. not an expert. feel lucky to be ahead so far and even if I lose both coming games ….I’m still ahead a bit.
bout all you can expect sitting in my seat:)
and yes …. you were right about zona. *note I followed that advice on the straight up bet. didn’t take the spread however but if i had …..i’d have tied … least where I bet.
Oh….. and KC …… got room to put my KC shirt in with your Miami shirt Lou? I’m retiring it too for the year.
