I’m sorry that you are in such bad shape after that ordeal! I know that you can’t be feeling very well after that, but it will get better as each day.

It’s God awful:( I did just eat some 3 minuite eggs with a 1/2 piece of toast soaked in the egg slop.lol. Something my Mom used to make for me when I was a lil kid. May sound gross tos ome but was a treat to me. All I can eat for the next 2 weeks is mushy slop:( As I have temp teeth on both sides on the top. 4 more teeth to go… I can do it, can’t I?
I hate dentist that do not give anesthetic when using the drill. I had one do that once and it was not a fun time. I bet those B@st@rd collect the insurance on using anesthetic for the procedure as well.

Was just goin to try to snooze but, saw your reply. Please do not get me wrong. My dentist uses novacain like crazy! I even told her, if she were to be in a James Bond movie, her name woud be, “Novacain galore!”lol
She is just not one for pain killers afterwards. Nor am I as I have had my share of them in the past and have never found one that worked any better then aspirin.
I swear by my dentist and would never go to another. Besides my restoration work, I have extreme TMJ. She is the only person after 34 docs that helped me with that. I stil have it but not to the extreme that I did. At least I do not have the dibilataing headaches anymore. She is the best!
oh ok! It is just my dentist. You should take Advil for about 48 hours to reduce the swelling / pain etc.

I’m good with my aspirin. Throbs are rock and rolling tonight, though. I go back on Sept 4th to get these 4 perms. Two more teeth ater that and I am done.

Nope! Don’t wanna, don’t have ta and couldn’t if I wanted to. Which I wish I could, btw. I can take a ton of pain but, this is just too much for me. I’ve handled teeth pain for years but, the ones I had done on Weds. were in laymans terms, the eye/fang teeth. on both sides The ones that shoot pains up into your face and hurt like an mf-er when something it wrong. Well, they are clearly telling me, they don’t like to be drilled.

Same dental ass whipping for me. We did the second side of my mouth, upper and lower and the dental dominatrix was in rare form. I thought last week was deliciously painful, but this week she was truly a cut above. Send her down to Gitmo and everyone will talk within 30 minutes of being strapped in the chair.
This week I had another treat as the Periodontist adminsitered 9 count em 9 injections in the most painful places who could devise on the right side of my mouth. While DD watched on approvingly he gave me three under the lips, top and bottom, two in the jaw muscle top and bottom and an excurciating one trough the roof of my mouth into the palette!!! These two must have studied under Joeseph Mengele!
But at last I am a free man…. Just a follow up check up in one month and the horror ends…
I’ve been watching this thread while I am working up the courage to step into the dentist’s office for some necessary work – and it’s not very helpful, geez!
I get more scared with every post I read here – maybe I’ll just take a pair of pliers and pull them all myself!
