vladcizsolMemberYesterday was fun. We drove around with the Captain and viewed the area where he lives. Beautiful hill country here and impressive to flat landers like us. We then went back and swam at the Captains country estate. The evening saw us all going to the movies to watch The DarK Knight (Batman) and it was aweome, absoultely the best Batman movie ever and yes, it’s not just hype, Heath Ledger as the Joker was riveting and the best Batman Villan ever by a VERY wide margin.
Dinner was all you can crabs and chinese and we all enjoyed that.
Today is again impromptu so I will let you know what we did.
Michelle we have the Grand Baby with us and she is only 15 months old. She has enjoyed the trip as much as any of us. She enjoys having everyone she loves confined to one space where she can visit with them all day. When she isn’t so happy then its time for the Bose Headphones for me and viola tranquility again.

vladcizsolMemberWow I need a recovery day! Yesterday we stayed at Hershey Park until nearly 10pm and the kids had the time of their lives. We toured the entire park and they rode every roller coaster there!
Today we are headed over to Lancaster to see Amish country and ride in a horse and buggy (Poor Horses!). It will be great to have a slower day.
As the Captain noted we had a great time in Virginia with him and the Captainette. The last night was particularly fun and a real liver buster. I cant wait till we do it again.
I will report back tonight.

vladcizsolMemberWhew! We are finally back from Vacation. We arrived exhausted, but happy last night. New York was fabulous and we hit Baltimore and the Inner Harbor for an evening along the drive. Great city, great crabs (Obrycki’s) and a great weekend place.
In South Carolina we had the misfortune of stopping at South of the Border. I wish we didnt as I remembered this place so fondly from when I was a kid. We used to stop there on East Coast trips and the road signs for it were pure kitsche that made anyone under the age of 13 scream they HAD to stop or life just couldnt go on.
Now it’s a nightmare. The most filthy restrooms I have ever seen in my life by a very wide margin(worse then a Tijuana Jailhouse!), empty parking lots, surly employees, the people who DO stop are trailer park trash and scary to look at. All I can say is avoid Pedro like the plague, it’s not the South of the Border you remember. Sad to see this piece of road America history become four week old road kill.
Today I am going to do my best to make my rounds through the forums and get caught up on whats been going on. I will also work on whittling down the 1200+ emails I have waiting. PMs will likely get answered tomorrow or Thursday.
Great to be back! :hattip:

PacheGencecexMemberHey Guy’s,
I just read this thread, and here is a link to “The theme Park Guy” Stefan Zwanger :wink-wink, started as an Affilate and is now traveling the world only to write about all the existing theme parks……..a dream to do what you want after making enough money as an affilaite.
http://www.thethemeparkguy.com/The interview is great.
Maybe we all get to that point one day.
Have a great day!
