Inactivenaughty! thanks for the heads up.

InactiveMore than annoying, IMO. I would like to know if they are now carrying over this negative and who will be affected by it?
There was no warning or notification to affiliates, that’s for sure. Programs that do this sort of stuff should be rewarded by total lack of affiliation.

InactiveWhat a hassle this is! Why did they think that AGD would not even catch this sneaky move? I am going to take them down on all sites, this is just too much!:flush:

InactiveHi Guys.
I just spoke to the guys at Prime and they have assured me that all the current deal which have ‘NO NEG CARRY OVER’ are still in place.
The new terms are for new affiliates,
They will post here soon to explain but I suggest all of you who have personal relationships with Josh or Jordan, contact them before doing any unneccesary work.
cheers

MerlinThat’s fine that they did not retroactively put these terms in place… However, to put this in place without notification is plain wrong.
AND – After spending all the time to get negative carryover removed, Josh, why would you now put it back in?? That doesn’t make any sense at all.

MerlinMerlin is correct. I talked to Josh too, and he said that the change does not apply to existing affiliates.
Actually Prime should be commended for doing it this way. When a major RTG program did this very thing about 6 months ago, they applied the change to everyone — even the existing affiliates. At least with Prime’s change of T&Cs, existing affiliates are not affected.
Furthermore — I don’t believe my earlier post was warranted (the one where I said “yikes, thanks for the heads up”). In my opinion, negative carryover isn’t really that predatory. It isn’t the most attractive arrangement, but it isn’t really “predatory,” IMO.
Obviously, if you go from no-negative carryover to negative carryover retroactively, then you have a major problem. But that is not what is happening here.
CWC Affiliates has negative carryover, but they are one of the most affiliate-friendly programs that I know of.
I guess my point is that I think there has been a bit of an overreaction to this T&C change. (This includes my initial response).
If Prime doesn’t convert for you, then take them down. But to take them down because they made a change to the T&Cs that doesn’t even apply to you — that seems — (in the words of Spock) — illogical. :3eyes:

Edited: Josh would like to respond to these posts, but he is waiting for his new account to be activated.

InactiveAs long as it’s not retroactive I don’t have a problem with it.
I may not be fond of neg carryover, but there is no broken contract here.
Probably would have been nice to send a note to kwblue as courtesy….

InactiveIt’s annoying because I haven’t signed up yet. Furthermore it still doesn’t explain why after discussing it with AGD they removed the neg carryover only to put it back in now. Why the sudden change of mind?
I do give them credit though for not making it retroactive for the existing affs.

InactiveI do not believe it is predatory at all, actually (after hearing that it will NOT be retroactively applied)
I do, however, believe that if I was a new affiliate – I wouldn’t touch ANY ‘negative carryover’ program.Yes, we would have been much happier being notified of the changes.
Here is a list of ALL changes made to the terms:http://www.affiliateguarddog.com/terms-changes/?p=33
NOTE: The ‘predatory’ monikor still remains until someone at Prime Partners actually verifies that this term is not retroactive.

I’m afraid I don’t agree with you here…
You WERE waranted in your response because NOBODY from Prime had verified at that point that the terms aren’t retroactive… And, until they do here at CAP, we cannot all just rely on the words of their affiliates.
Negative Carryover is NOT predatory. It is also VERY MUCH NOT affiliate-friendly.

Nasty girlMemberLadies and gentlemen,
First and foremost, I want to apologize for not contacting you personally about the change in our terms and conditions. (Especially you, Andy). Recently, we’ve been struck by considerable fraud activity and some “persona non grata” affiliates that have made these changes necessary. Having said that, I have personal relationships with most of you, (some of which spanning several years) so I was surprised to see such a negative reaction without contacting me first for clarification.
Unfortunately, it can be argued that all of this would have been avoided had I just emailed you about the change in the terms. Having said that I take full responsibility for the confusion and I’ll and explain to you how we’re moving forward from this point onward.
Literally every person who has posted in this thread is completely exempt from these new rules. When I closed these deals with you in person, I promised you no negative carryover and that will never change. These new rules are in place for new affiliates with whom we don’t have long-term relationships with. I apologize if this seems ambiguous but virtually everyone who is already sending us players is completely exempt from the new terms. In other words, this is in no way retroactive for Affiliates we have pre-existing deals with.
If any of you are uncomfortable with taking my word alone as law on the subject, I will gladly have a contract drafted based on the old terms that both of us agree to, sign it, and send it to you.
One final thing: Most of you have known me personally for a long time. Everyone who has posted here has one of my business cards and has either been out to a club, event or had dinner with me. If you have any questions or concerns in the future, please call my mobile or send me an email. I’m always happy to chat with old friends

Kind Regards,
Josh Cartu

InactiveWell as long it don’t effect affiliates already signed up then it is okay I suppose, I don’t like the neg roll over thing but some casinos are just going to have it no matter what, there are several good programs that do have this claus and they are in good standings with affiliates such as (CWC). If I was a new affiliate I would not sign up.

InactiveThank you Josh forcoming in and explaining the terms.
Prime Partners has been placed as an affiliate-friendly program at AGD now that we know that the terms are not retroactive.
As a new affiliate – I, personally, would not sign up… But that is my choice because I prefer not to promote negative carryover properties any longer.
