InactiveI agree Mojo, I think the terms are totally unfair! We work hard to get players, and at times we will have “dry spells” , I don’t think we should be penalized because of this.

InactiveI find it extremely alarming too.
If you are making money with a program and they change the terms to this, they have you by the balls.
If you take them down, you forfeit income owed to you now.
If you don’t take them down, you risk losing a lot more income in the future since you are hopefully building up a player base.
It’s theft, pure and simple. It’s a refusal of payment of monies owed to you.
My new site will be very careful not to touch such programs with a ten foot pole, and to take any of them down immediately as they implement this.
You will find that programs who do that now think that they are safe because of the new law. They figure since there are not too many places taking US residents, they can shaft affiliates with impunity.
I thought the new law would bring some hardships for us, I didn’t figure our “partners” would turn on us and try to exploit us.
This industry is going down the tubes.

InactiveCanbet is an offender. That´s a shame because they look like a good RTG casino.

InactiveThat’s just the thing, there are great programs I want to use. They got us by the cajones. We either use them or we don’t because of this term. It is an unreasonable choice to say the least.

InactiveSo far we have VIP, Casino Coins (related) and Canbet stealing earnings.
Please post any others you know of.

InactiveEven though some programs still accept usa players I’m pretty sure most usa players don’t play because of the new law. I think the loss (of usa players) is hurting the casinos’ bottom line more than they are letting on, thus the changes in the terms.

InactiveRTG, Rival, Hype and Vegas Technologies have more players now than before the law.

InactiveG3 partner has a 6 month clause. With the new acquisition, I don’t know how this term will be affected. Another example of how quickly things change in this industry.

InactiveMy Sports Affiliate who deals with “Superbook” and “Players Only” has been witholding $148.58 for the past two months claiming I will not be paid any monies and funds will be held until I bring in another active account.
Nowhere In their Terms and Conditions does it state x amount of players need to be brought in for Affiliate Revenue to be Paid.
I have 4 players only 1 “Qualified Account” over 3 months.
Regardless if I brought in 1 or 500 players I believe I should be paid.
Do they honestly think that after this screwover I would even consider sending any traffic their way. I’ll never see my money. To me this is nothing less than extortion.

InactiveG3 had the rule in effect when we signed up, I read the rule and agreed so that is all on me, these others have no damn excuse they made a breech in the contracts, changed terms to suit their needs.
These theifs are removed off all of our sites, no loss to us we will just find another program to replace them.

InactiveAgreed bonustreak, this term was there from the beginning with G3. Six months is generous comparitivly. G3 is a guality program that I would like to use. However, whether it was there from from the start or added later I would have to think long and hard before I put time, effort and advertising dollars in any program with this term.
This seems to be getting increasingly popular with affiliate programs. It makes me extremely uncomfortable. Unfortunatly, I don’t think there is much we can do except speak up.
It seems your funds are being held hostage freecc. Let us know how it goes.

These people have no intention of paying the remaining 50%.

I would have never signed up for this program had I known or seen in the Terms about the “one qualified account per month” stipulation. I read the Terms and Conditions with All Affiliate Programs I sign up with. So its not as if this term “snuck by”
It just never existed. Until now.December 4, 2006 at 12:57 am #717756Anonymous
InactiveGet out while you can, before you send more players and they have a bigger stick to wield.

InactiveThese Terms and Conditions changes are getting a bit out of hand, IMO. The retroactive changes are the worst and are illegal / immoral.
In the very near future, a site will come online. This site it built from the core with technologies allowing Terms and Conditions monitoring. A team of programmers are developing some really unique algorithms to determine T&C shifts as well as shifts in bonus terms, revenue percentages, and a number of other parameters which are felt to be of the most importance to all of us who spend our time attempting to earn money in this industry.
The time needed to perfect the algorithms is not minor, but there are enough programmers on it at the moment and it is hoped to be available yet this month.
Let’s get this shit under control!
