InactiveI think 1 first deposit for every 50 click-through’s would be a very aggressive goal, and way too aggressive for GoClick traffic. When I used GoClick, I saw conversions of more like 1 first deposit for every 200 click-through’s or so.
As far as ratio of downloads to deposits goes, I’d double-check with the program about how they count “downloads”. Sometimes your number of downloads is artificially inflated.

InactiveJust checked out goclick again. I was under the impression they didn’t accept gambling related sites. When you do a search on casino/gambling/poker no results are shown. But, when you search for “gaming” there are several casinos shown. The CPC looks pretty low for these sites, which could be a sign that there is a lot of click fraud coming from them.
Your download issue could be a couple of things. First, when you click on the download link, the software automatically starts downloading, which might not be what the user intended by going there. Second, the file that downloads is a pre-downloader that requires the user to run it to download the actual software. Given this extra step, you might be experiencing some less adept users not sure what to do. These are just guesses however.

InactiveMy stats with play united casinos are something like 20% of the people who downloaded the software made a deposit. That’s 1 in 5, but I’m speaking about search engine traffic.

Guestto heck with aggressive, the fact is: you ain’t gonna get a real player in 50 clicks from there.
I would say that 1 in 400 would be a reasonable goal for go click. might still be expecting too much.
the extra hitch in your download process is gonna hurt ya. I’m sure of that.
Randy, give me a call when you’ve time.

InactiveThanks for the replies. I have my PPC account paused and I think I’ll unpause it and try some different keywords and give it another 200 clicks to see if I can land my first. I’ve already had over 200 click throughs with 50 downloads. According to Sharp Gambler with 50 downloads I should have about 10 depositers. I don’t even have 1 signup and forget the depositers. That’s why I’m a little apprehensive. I know it’s a small sample, but I figured I’d at least get one sign up out of 50 people who downloaded the software. I don’t want to go bust on a large sample either when I could direct those funds to other areas of promotion.
When you go to my site it does not have automatic preloading software on the index. But it does automatically download once you go to the download page. But if someone is going to the download page then I’m assuming in most cases they want to download the software. To be honest based on the numbers I’ve been reading about here and on other forums I’m a little dissappointed in my first sampling of PPC marketing…but it’s my first try and I thought I knew what I was doing with PPC…I guess not….good thing I’m not going to rely soley on that…
Thanks Randy, Webber & Sharp
I’ll keep yaz posted in a day or so to let you know if after 400 clicks I get a signup and even better my first deposit. If I don’t get a bite after 400 then I know it’s back to the drawing board. Although I don’t know what the average profit is per depositing player per month but I doubt I’ll hit B/E on my ROI.
I’m open to any other marketing alternatives as well. It’s those darn laws that are forcing us to be so “creative” in our promotions…so if you have any suggestions I’m all ears.

InactiveWell dbonds the laws on US are against but in the UK and other markets they aren’t.
From what I’ve learned from trial-and-error PPC sucks. Some suck less but almost all suck in some degree.
Overture and Google are the best but they don’t accept us anymore.
You have Overture in UK market, they accept gambling ads. There is also Espotting. Espotting does not give you 400 leads in one day, but from what people say, the traffic is real and good.
It would be a favour that not only google and overture stop accepting gambling ads but also the other ones. You know why? Because they suck and webmasters waste money in fraudulent programs.
The only real traffic you can get is from search engines which means that your investment is more in work and will not get results in the short run.
