Fatbill, I completely understand your point. And, in fact, used to agree with it.
If I had seen the PPA pro-actively go after something… If I had seen them accomplish anything by now… I may be less skeptical.
For me, the fact that Michael believes that governments “exemptions” for horse racing and lotteries are hypocritical — then turns around and goes seeking a similar exemption for poker — is not such a big deal.
So what is pushing the growing swell of industry love-loss for the PPA? Well, they have millions of dollars… they refuse to help anyone but themselves… and we see no real results. All we do hear is “donate” “donate” “donate”.
I know little about Michael or what he did for a living prior to the PPA. But I would bet he wasn’t in the industry, or even interested in our industry. Why would he care about our survival now?
