The headline says 9.5m but in the article it says 95 million. Appears that 9.5 is the correct one though.
That is very interesting to see that poker.com sold for more than sex.com. Not just more but more than double. :huh2:

It depends on what they plan to do with it. If they are planning on building a huge brand like party poker or fult tilt poker then maybe 27 million is worth it. If they are planning on just getting type in traffic and earning a million or 2 a year I think they would have been better off having the money sit in real estate or stocks. They would earn more without the risk.
That’s some high amounts to say the least , but I’ve also read at a forum that poker.com says and I quote ,” Don’t believe everything you read. ” Makes me wonder if they did sale .
I noticed in the article that next month the T.r.a.f.f.i.c conference in new york city they will be auctioning horseracing.com – would this be through moniker.

Btw , I’ve read it st8 from the horses mouth that poker.com the domain DID NOT sell . They stated that was false rumours started by a “tabloid site.”The Affiliate Summit Auction starts Monday at 6:30 PM through 8:30 PM EST.

Also, even if it did sell, you’ve got to consider that Poker.com is selling a few years after sex.com/porn.com, and that the gambling boom has driven up prices considerably.
It’s not worth 27mln IMO. 9-10 sure, as there’s an incredible amount of potential with a name like that.
