InactiveAnnie Duke wrote:I am very much against the bill as it relates to poker and any other game of skill. She as are those 100 others you want to speak up are interested in a poker carve out only, not any other form of online gaming. It is good to see that most of what she bitches about serves all of our causes though.

InactiveI have the utmost admiration for Annie as she was the first player I interviewed at the 2006 WSOP for a podcast on the pending bill. Others were mostly:
A) Scared
Apathetic
C) DisbelievingShe was most vocal and the segment was very much snatch and grab and her fluent and articulate comments were memorable indeed.
I think I have a crush on her.

Comments also by Chris Moneymaker, Greg Raymer and PPA pres Mike Bolcerek.

nick777MemberBenjamin Franklin warned that in times of heightened fear we must not give in to a government who claims that to keep the population safe that its people must give up certain personal freedom.
Wow! Talk about summing up the current administration in Washingon!

http://media.libsyn.com/media/synergy/internet_gambling_bill.mp3Change always comes from the few. Look at anything ever done. Your local, church, club, whatever. It’s always the same few who do everything, while the majority just go along, not wanting to be bothered. That’s how the zealots promote their agenda, because most are too apathetic to do anything against them.
Just one email to one person, by each member here would go a long way to getting out our message. But if change comes, it will be a few who do what’s necessary to bring it about.
It does no good to give in to bullys, because they don’t stop. Ever. They keep pushing and pushing, until someone pushes back. That’s their nature. They will keep taking your “lunch money” until you stand up for yourself and fight back.
