Mainly, this is an advertisement for a particlar poker bot. Unless you are the perfect programmer – you will never create a bot that can beat a good player. You can even read in their own forums how difficult it is to create a winning bot
For sure it is.
Not that I have tried but I know programming and you necessarily need to make assumptions which, in Poker, don’t necessarily mean they are right. For example, does a check indicate weakness, or is the player trapping you? There is no answer to this question as it can be both, so the programmer needs to hard code it. Of course, using player statistics you can ameliorate it(IE if you registered that this particular player has a high ratio of check/call or check/raise). But it isn’t as easy as they make it to be, and I would be surprised if these bots played above 2/4 Hold’em. I mean, it’s possible, but I don’t think they would be that good yet.
